What an album :cheeseblock:

Have had it on repeat since it was released, always astounds me that they are not 100 times more successful than they are.

#1 in the mids - really hope they can hold on :cheer: They are rallying fans to buy a copy if they haven’t done so and it’s had some impact on iTunes etc.,

Have had it on repeat since it was released, always astounds me that they are not 100 times more successful than they are.

When they first came on to the scene they were very much emo bounce for teenage girls and I think it was hard for them to shred that image, especially at a time when you had Lostprophets, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Panic!, My Chemical Romance, Jimmy Eat World etc. around - I was a huge Kids In Glass Houses fan at the time too and I thought they always struggled to break the mainstream too as the market was too saturated.

I was huge fan of theirs between 2009-2012 and then kind of grew out of the sound and I haven't really been a fan of any of their recent stuff. Going to give this a listen to as

Congrats to them :cheer:

My appreciation for the title track swiftly turned into obsession as it spent 2 weeks at the top of my chart. But then I felt a bit underwhelmed by 'Adrenaline'. However, my interest for the album quickly came back due to hearing 'Glasgow' on New Music Friday - wow, the way that song builds! So I decided to make 'SUCKAPUNCH' the first new album that I checked out in 2021 this morning ^_^ I must admit that I was a little worried because I didn't particularly love any of the first three songs, but then 'WYDRN' really grabbed me and that's followed by 'SUCKAPUNCH', so yay, it was turning around now. That continued further as I really enjoyed 'Kill The Mood', particularly the guitar work. Then... 'Adrenaline' grew on me quite a lot second time!! I still think the chorus is a bit too much of an Imagine Dragons rip-off but the rest of it was standing out a lot more today. 'Finish What I Started' was then another highlight, definitely the one that cut deep the most lyrically for me. 'What's It Like' then a strong note to finish on with its more out-there production. I'm impressed by the way they incorporated genre-blending without it feeling forced or anything. So overall I'd say it was a slow start but I ended up having a good number of highlights to take away. Maybe the ones I was less taken in by could grow like 'Adrenaline' did.

My top 5 right now:

01. SUCKAPUNCH

02. Glasgow

03. What's It Like

04. Finish What I Started

05. WYDRN

The violet vinyl on their store looks lovely and I get paid on Wednesday so might look into getting it to help cushion their week #2 fall :kink:

The bundles with the hot sauce though
