Didn’t even know it had been released so it’s doing well to be as high as it is
Wasn't she always just a novelty hit anyway?
I mean she won a grammy and has only really faultered with her third release but i feel thats due to Epic more than her (see Zara Larsson, Fifth Harmony for other examples).
To be fair, she probably doesn't have to work another day in her life and live quite comfortably if she didn't want to, but I can tell she really wants to leave her mark. At least she has a mega-hit and a very distinguishable voice on her side.
I don't think the Playmobil movie sold anything. Explains a lot if what you say is true tbh.
Her 15 mins gone lasting 4+ years. I mean the Playmobil movie was sold off her name and she was in it for 5 mins.

Budget $75 million

Box office $9.3 million

Ooop.

It’s quite sad because I actually love her more now than I ever did. She releases nothing but niche fagbops now
9.3 mil is still a fair amount to be sold off one “underperforming” singers name; i’d say.

1. 9.3 million is awful for a $75 million budget movie.

2. 9.3 million isn't even the total of the tickets, but what it earnt at the box office, so it's ridiculously flop level for a $75 million movie.

3. There's absolutely nothing supporting that the few people who went to see the movie went to see it for Meghan Trainor's voice alone, but if they did it's really nothing to brag about. If anything, this is something that'll disappear fairly fast from her resume.

Well the press release I received seemed to sell the movie on “Meghans first steps into Hollywood”.

Whilst its a tad disappointing that TM hasn’t come out yet; we have been treated with lots of MTrain music in the last year so a fan canny complain

I can guarantee you, next to nobody went to see Playmobil "because it has Meghan Trainor in it". Especially not when Daniel Radcliffe is one of the stars attached to it. Your newsletters or whatever were probably just highlighting that it was her first major motion picture.

It's one of the biggest box office misfires in a long time. It made a loss of over $60m. There's nothing good about that at all.

Don't worry Dan, everyone knows how important your career is and that you are well respected, you certainly seem very humble about it!
