September 14, 20195 yr Didn’t even know it had been released so it’s doing well to be as high as it is
September 14, 20195 yr I mean she won a grammy and has only really faultered with her third release but i feel thats due to Epic more than her (see Zara Larsson, Fifth Harmony for other examples).
September 14, 20195 yr I think if anything she did damn well to stretch out her 15 minutes for as long as she did.
September 14, 20195 yr To be fair, she probably doesn't have to work another day in her life and live quite comfortably if she didn't want to, but I can tell she really wants to leave her mark. At least she has a mega-hit and a very distinguishable voice on her side.
September 14, 20195 yr I think she can still achieve hits as a featured artist! Just Got Paid was a huge hit last year
September 14, 20195 yr Her 15 mins gone lasting 4+ years. I mean the Playmobil movie was sold off her name and she was in it for 5 mins.
September 14, 20195 yr I don't think the Playmobil movie sold anything. Explains a lot if what you say is true tbh.
September 14, 20195 yr Her 15 mins gone lasting 4+ years. I mean the Playmobil movie was sold off her name and she was in it for 5 mins. Budget $75 million Box office $9.3 million Ooop.
September 14, 20195 yr It’s quite sad because I actually love her more now than I ever did. She releases nothing but niche fagbops now
September 15, 20195 yr 9.3 mil is still a fair amount to be sold off one “underperforming” singers name; i’d say.
September 15, 20195 yr 9.3 mil is still a fair amount to be sold off one “underperforming” singers name; i’d say. 1. 9.3 million is awful for a $75 million budget movie. 2. 9.3 million isn't even the total of the tickets, but what it earnt at the box office, so it's ridiculously flop level for a $75 million movie. 3. There's absolutely nothing supporting that the few people who went to see the movie went to see it for Meghan Trainor's voice alone, but if they did it's really nothing to brag about. If anything, this is something that'll disappear fairly fast from her resume.
September 15, 20195 yr Well the press release I received seemed to sell the movie on “Meghans first steps into Hollywood”. Whilst its a tad disappointing that TM hasn’t come out yet; we have been treated with lots of MTrain music in the last year so a fan canny complain
September 15, 20195 yr I can guarantee you, next to nobody went to see Playmobil "because it has Meghan Trainor in it". Especially not when Daniel Radcliffe is one of the stars attached to it. Your newsletters or whatever were probably just highlighting that it was her first major motion picture. It's one of the biggest box office misfires in a long time. It made a loss of over $60m. There's nothing good about that at all.
September 15, 20195 yr Press releases* (as previously noted) No need to diminish my career to outline your point Edited September 15, 20195 yr by dannjohn
September 16, 20195 yr Don't worry Dan, everyone knows how important your career is and that you are well respected, you certainly seem very humble about it!
September 16, 20195 yr Thank you Jack :) Even if you are being sarcastic. On another note; Meghan’s doing the Friend theme for the 25th anniversary
