Into the top 3 we go and in 3rd place is the mid-tempo SMASH 'Let You Love Me'. I like this song, a lot (I gave it 8.5), but I can't help but shake the feel it's a tad overrated *eyes* Lovely song though. Probs about 7th for me in this rate, so it's a tad too high for my liking, but I see the appeal! It went on to be a huge smash for her, which at the time was so much more appreciated and welcome due to the major under performance of 'Girls' just before it. The production is lush on this!

Such a good song! I liked how this continued the vibe of the era after 'Your Song' and 'Anywhere'. Really hoping she can make some more hits like this for her next album.

I do love 'Let You Love Me' a lot, and being there to see her record it for Xmas TOTP last year was a special moment.

Let You Love Me, took time to grow, but i very much enjoy the track now.

We're almost there...!! Before we talk about the winner, let's look at the runner up. I Will Never Let You Down was originally intended to be the lead for Rita's second studio album, said to be produced by then-boyfriend Calvin Harris. This was the first of those tracks, and it smashed in at #1 in the UK, but her split with Calvin led to sourness between the two and Rita was forced to scrap the album. However, I Will Never Let You Down remains a huge fan favourite, as evidenced by those incredible scores!!

 

Booooo Hissssss. That should have won, she'll never top that.

Such a good song! Imagine what that album could have been like :(
