September 20, 20197 yr Author Better early than late, but better late than never :) Lol @ The 1975, I can't remember ever seeing a song go straight into the A-list and then get thrown off after 4 weeks! Good riddance though, it's just a load of shouty nonsense. Good to see Bombay Bicycle Club and TDCC continue to get support although their days must surely be numbered now.
September 20, 20197 yr Author Ohhh this is the longest Lana's been on A list since Ultraviolence. And also the first time she's been on the A-list with two different songs.
September 20, 20197 yr I'm sure Bombay Bicycle Club will be supported for quite a while at least - they aren't even 30 yet!
September 20, 20197 yr They could do with removing Lil Tecca or Joel Corry and adding Tiësto & Mabel but I’m glad Tones & I has finally been added Edited September 20, 20197 yr by Hadji
September 20, 20197 yr The 1975 gone already! Something interesting I observed though is People has had B list level rotation since it was added (meanwhile Joel Corry - Sorry has had A list rotation). Makes sense as People is way heavier than their other tracks and Sorry is doing well but I don’t know why they couldn’t just switch them?
September 20, 20197 yr sure the awful People song being playlisted is a payola situation that R1 are forced to playlist no matter what, doubt it's their cup of tea, same for the kids age 12-15 that are the usual fans, cannot see many liked People but payola is payola :)

September 20, 20197 yr M4NGO, When was the last time that a song spent 8 weeks on the playlist but stalled on the B List? I can’t imagine it happens much.
September 20, 20197 yr good to see Bombay Bicycle Club () and Mura Masa added! and Rex OC moving up
September 20, 20197 yr Author M4NGO, When was the last time that a song spent 8 weeks on the playlist but stalled on the B List? I can’t imagine it happens much. It doesn't happen much but probably more than you think. Last year, Fisher's 'Losing It' and Dennis Lloyd's 'Nevermind' both spent 9 weeks on the playlist but never got higher than the B-list. Same with Major Lazer's 'Light It Up' in 2015. 'Despacito' and Craig David's 'Magic' also did 8 weeks.

September 20, 20197 yr What payola? The playlist is decided in meetings where they review and put together the list based on what they think will suit their audience... no one pays to be on the list  Yay for Elderbrook/Rudimental and Roberto Surace! Joel still being there is a surprise but I can see this being Sorry’s last week
September 20, 20197 yr Classic Bjork, if you think their fanbase is solely kids aged 12-15 - you're deluded I'll never forget the time he once said they're "squarely aimed at 7-year-olds".
September 20, 20197 yr Author Hopefully Dance Monkey is C-C-C-OUT Yeah I'm pretty sure that's not gonna happen - now that it's been playlisted it should edge closer to the Top 10 in the next couple of weeks, which will only warrant it climbing the playlist.
September 20, 20197 yr Top tier trolling subtitle x It's quite clearly talking about Roberto Surace's 'Joys' which has been a massive Ibiza hit this summer and now it's finally been added to the playlist! :D
