They really have offered a very disappointing cd 3.

With the massive catalogue Kylie has lying around, CD 3 had the potential to be truly special and it is not.

Anything released at this time and involving Kylie will sell........ even if it is as an unwanted Xmas present lol

according the music week there is an extensive marketing and tv campaign planned. Which prob includes the BBC special

Golden Tour is getting a good TV slot.

The more tv slots/performances will result to a better outcome.

That said, with 2 new editions released reasonable close to each other it may cause confusion outside the fanbase.

The news of disc 3 will also likely kill off sales of the existing release as people will wait and but the 3 cd version instead.

I'm quite shocked that I Was Gonna Cancel (#59) has been included, while Giving You Up (#6), Finer Feelings (#11) & Where Is the Feeling? (#16) continue to be snubbed. I would have even preferred Better than Today (#32) to be included over I Was Gonna Cancel, at least it was a Top 40!

 

Also interesting that they've put It's No Secret on there. I wouldn't have predicted that would make it.

Anyone of the songs left off would have been a better inclusion to I Was Gona Cancel which is one of Kylie's most unpopular singles.

If it all sounds good it would be a good party cd with no stoppage.

That said, i think the direction of cd 3 is all wrong.

Happy for a re release as it should give a sales boost but disappointed with what it is, bloody remixes by most that I dont care for, I was gona cancel making the cut when crystalize is far better and has never made an album before is disappointing. Surprised it's no secret was picked over the far more popular turn it into love. I prob wont buy this for a while until price is reduced. The one has 2 remixes on the CD plus the original made the first cut when something like finer feeling or musics too sad without you dont get a look in the door,I dont understand.

 

It will end up being a mixed set of tracks - the instrumental of The One will have the a cappella of Slow over it before The One comes in if that makes sense. It's a common trick in mixtapes.

 

I'd rather they would have stuck to one idea or another, ie a third disc of material or a third disc of a continual mix.

I would have preferred one idea or the other too.

Will they attempt multi format releases for this version also or just go with 1 style of cd release.

 

 

'Giving You Up' is going to be consigned to forgotten history completely, and it's one of my faves. :cry:

Giving You Up is great and i really dont see why it is getting the cold shoulder once again on the release.

A Top 10 hit losing out to something as terrible as I Was Gona Cancel does not sound right.

I rather like Giving You Up also, a shame it isn't held in higher regard by either Kylie or the label.

They clearly do not want all the singles on the album to leave an open opportunity for a future release of the complete singles collection.

By the time such a release occurs the format will be very opselete.

 

Giving You Up is the most stand out omission now.
