They're just not a global act anymore and it's a low budget lockdown video. Most of those views will be U.K. only, so I don't think it's too bad.

It's crazy how the video is actually fun. Give me this over the Only You, Secret Love Song and One I've Been Missing videos any day!

I think it’s numerous factors to be honest.

There’s a stack of charity songs out, yesterday was VE Day in the UK, so casual listeners would have been outside / focused on that. The songs been out 6+ weeks so there’s nowhere near the hype, low budget / Animated characters.

Plus they definitely have lost the global appeal, because Simon did have a massive influence over X Factor’s in other countries etc..

It’s actually at #5 on Trending now and seems to be getting more views than it was at the end half of yesterday.

The girls haven’t even done swipe up links to the video!

A brand new video after lockdown on release week would see way better numbers I reckon.

Decent update! Let’s hope it’s moved up a bit 😍

It was around 280k yesterday so almost a 40k increase!

Is this being sent to any other countries as a single release?

Looking at their history in Australia it's really weird - Wings, Change Your Life, Black Magic, Hair and Shout Out To My Ex went top ten but then Reggeaton Lento (#68), Only You (#92), Woman Like Me (#23) and Bounce Back (#86) all did really badly yet don't their tours do well over there?

Like, it sort of feels they've gave up on promoting in other countries altogether...

#35 on Spotify today.

I think this is looking good for another week in the top 20.

That’s actually amazing because there’s 3 new entries above it!

I really hope it’s not just a one day wonder and it’s picking up!!

That increase was really unexpected, it’d have climbed eight spots if it weren’t for the new tracks.

How did the Vera Lynn track suddenly climb to #10??

When I saw there were 7 new entries I thought the song might’ve actually left the Top 50.

It was the 75th anniversary of VE day and songs connected to the war have taken over the Spotify chart. Mostly because a lot of people were stupidly having street parties.

They never really promoted their singles “worldwide” if they weren’t the lead singles. Woman Like Me was probably the last one to receive a proper push on that front.

Touch in the US and Reggaeton due to the language might be the only exceptions. Bounce Back made a little noise on its release but as it wasn’t really good it didn’t anymore.

I think they would’ve pushed this a bit more outside of the UK had it not been for the pandemic, see the schedule they had in Brazil, all the radio interviews in Australia etc, but it’s fine.

Also for the views to be higher the video release needed a bit more hype, I know it’s a nice extra boost but I hope from now on they always release the song with the video just like they dis with Bounce Back because it makes the release more of a moment, especially worldwide. Vertical videos are useless visually, they’re good for playlist placement but really people barely ever stop and watch them...

Ah, ok. Didn’t even know that was a thing, maybe that’s why Ariana and Justin didn’t top Itunes too.

Girls are up to #14 there by the way.

Yeah I think if the next single is another right move it’ll debut in a better scenario than this one did. Perrie described it the other day as a feel good anthem, which is why she said she “hopes” everyone is out by the time it’s released. I hope they hold it until this is all over.
It’s done a great job in getting back some casual fans support

Definitely. While it would be nice to see a higher peak, we have to remember that this is genuinely their most successful single since Woman Like Me which was released in October 2018 and even that was a whole year after their Glory Days era ended.

This has done exactly what Bounce Back failed to do last year and with much less support.

(in a way it sort of feels like a '30 Days' type situation where it's got people back on board after a huge flop)

Agreed, BUS is definitely their most successful song since WLM. Considering not being able to promote it properly, it’s doing really well. Nice increase on Spotify too :yahoo:

I think they should hold off releasing their next song until we are out of lockdown.

Followed by 'What About Us', The Sats biggest hit, so they have A LOT to live up to!

As long as it's not massive and they pull out a 'Gentleman' afterwards, give us all of those 'Disco Loves' and 'Not Giving Ups' tbh.

I just saw the Break Up Song Steve Void Remix has almost 1 Million on Spotify. It's gaining almost 70k per day!
This feels like...a much bigger hit than 30 days
