A bit more info here about the reason for the move etc .

Robbie Williams is buying a $40M Florida mansion with an 18-car garage — with future plans including a ‘floating padel court’

British pop star Robbie Williams is trading California’s hills for Florida’s waterways with an off-market purchase of a sprawling waterfront estate in affluent Coral Gables — where he and his wife Ayda Field plan to relocate their family of six, The Post has learned.

The $40 million deal, which will add an extra $5 million for furnishings, is poised to set a new record for the exclusive Old Cutler Bay neighborhood — clocking in at approximately $5,000 per square foot.

The 19,380-square-foot smart home, built in 2016, sits on a rare 1-acre peninsula lot with 435 feet of water frontage, a 75-foot dock and views on three sides

The estate includes seven bedrooms, seven full baths, two powder rooms, a resort-style pool and spa, a firepit, an outdoor kitchen, an 18-car garage and a wine cellar.

But for Williams, who once sold 1.6 million concert tickets in a single day and whose albums dominate UK sales charts, the existing amenities are just the beginning.

Manny Angelo Varas, the Miami-based developer known as “The Billionaire’s Builder” for his work with clients like Rick Ross and an Indian Creek mystery buyer, has been tapped to oversee an ambitious $5 million expansion of this property

image.png

“We’re doing a ground-up build,” Varas told The Post. “He’ll be relocating immediately to the existing home, and we’re going to be doing new construction, adding between 2,500 and 3,500 square feet.”

The centerpiece of the renovation is a 2,000-square-foot guest pavilion, envisioned as a flexible space.

“We’re creating functional spaces that could be used as a recording studio and multiple different functions,” Varas said. “So he’s able to work from home when he’s not on tour.”

According to Varas, the decision to pivot from Los Angeles to Miami was driven by a mix of lifestyle, safety and tax considerations.

Are those Intro Vert chairs tongue

“From a tax perspective and just the environment overall in California, it’s relocating primarily for a different lifestyle,” he said. “This is one of many of our clients from California we are working with, including several other celebrities that are relocating from California.”

Originally, Williams had planned to purchase Rosie O’Donnell’s former home on Star Island, but structural concerns derailed the deal.

“The reason we cancelled the contract is because the home’s structure was below the current flood code,” Varas said. “Effectively the only option would be demoing the house and starting from scratch, and because that process typically would take two to three years, he elected to come to the Gables.”

The property’s sellers were “The Real Housewives of Miami” star Dr. Nicole Martin and her husband, attorney Anthony Lopez, who bought the estate for roughly $21.5 million in 2022.

The buyer’s agent was Chad Carroll of Compass, while Dennis Carvajal of One Sotheby’s International Realty represented the sellers.

Williams and Field sold their previous home in Beverly Hills to Drake for $75 million before the Florida move. The new estate, with its similarly modern aesthetic and waterfront appeal, is “pristine,” according to Varas, who intends to preserve its design language while adding wellness and tech upgrades.

“We’re putting sensors within the AC to make sure we have a clean air environment throughout the entire home,” he noted.

And in true Miami fashion, a floating padel court may soon join the list of ultra-luxe features.

Inspired by a similar court in the Exumas, Varas is working with the city on what would be the first residential floating padel court in the United States.

“It’s a super unique attraction that exists,” Varas said. “I proposed having a floating padel court, which would be a multifunctional space attached to the property.”

The entire renovation is expected to wrap in under a year.

Williams, 51, first made headlines as a boy band sensation in Take That before launching a wildly successful solo career. This includes seven No. 1 singles in the UK. Additionally, all but one of his 14 studio albums have reached No. 1 in the UK.

Robbie Williams On Take That Re-Union, Knebworth, And Better Man

Could he rejoin the group for their Circus tour...?

Robin Murray

12 · 01 · 2026

Robbie Williams has given a new interview discussing a potential Take That re-union, the Better Man biopic, and his new album ‘BRITPOP’.

The UK songwriter is aiming to break a new record, with incoming album ‘BRITPOP’ set to land on February 6th. If the LP goes to number one on the official countdown, Robbie will push The Beatles aside to break a fresh chart record.

Dropping past The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, Robbie revealed he has five more solo albums in the works, commenting: “I want to work, I want to go out there, I want to be at it. I’m still incredibly ambitious and I love my work and I love working.”

The host spotted that Take That are bringing back their massive Circus tour – the live extravaganza that prompted Robbie Williams to return to the fold all those years ago.

“It’s one of the best, one of the best shows ever,” said the singer. “That was what did it. You know, Gaz came round to the house in Los Angeles and he had a copy of the show and he played it me and I just stood, literally stood, didn’t sit, stood and watched it spellbound. Loved it, and I was like, ‘I want back in’. And then the boys are redoing the Circus tour and it’s a great idea and, you know, it’s caught everybody’s imaginations and the tickets are doing incredibly well. And it got me thinking, I was like, ‘maybe I’ll do the Knebworth show.'”

Laughing, Robbie then shut down talk of a Knebworth show, but remains open to a potential Take That re-union: “I did love it last time. Not right now. I’m sure we will ride again, but it’s not in my plans right now.”

The conversation moved to Robbie not breaking America, and the British star rolled back the years to reveal why that didn’t happen. “I got to America and I was promoting an album and I thought – and I was ill and an addict and an alcoholic and everything was overwhelming and I was at the top of this pile at the time that I couldn’t manage and I couldn’t handle. Nobody does. Nobody does when they’re like number one or whatever it is. Nobody manages it well. If you can – at home play a game where you can pick out the person that came out well-adjusted and stayed well-adjusted while all of that was happening and I would say you don’t know their personal life and you don’t know them, because it doesn’t exist. I’ve narrowed it down to like, Tom Hanks. Maybe Tom Hanks.”

“I was like, well, I’m going to move there. And I have anonymity and I can get about and enjoy my spoil – my ill-gotten gains. And then, yeah, so I chose to be Bruce Wayne in Los Angeles and Batman everywhere else.”

Discussing Better Man, Robbie Williams was full of praise for the biopic. “Everybody who sees it, loved it. Unfortunately, not enough did! But everybody who sees it comes out going that was that was incredible. I’m very, very lucky once again to have a a biopic about me as an advert for me and my life and my career.”

‘BRITPOP’ will be released on February 6th.

I wonder how Robbie will feel about being called a pop veteran heehee

Robbie Williams has 'five albums' ready to go

Robbie Williams says he’s sitting on five unreleased albums and admits he’s become “addicted” to work.

Robbie Williams has "five" albums "in the chambers".

The 51-year-old pop veteran will release his 13th studio album, Britpop, on February 6, but he has teased that there is plenty more where that came from and he's gone self-indulgent on the follow-up.

Speaking on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2, Robbie said: "I'm doing an album for me, me. I don't know if anybody would like it at all but I'm doing it for me, me, the next one."

The DJ asked: "So we're gonna get another album at some point soon?"

Robbie replied: "Yeah, listen, I've got five in the chambers, I'm ready."

A stunned Scott reacted: "Five?"

Robbie expanded: "Yeah, I'm ready to go. Yeah... I want to work, I want to go out there, I want to be at it. I'm still incredibly ambitious, and I love my wor,k and I love working."

The Angels hitmaker went on talk about being "addicted" to work and struggling with "balance".

If Britpop hits number one in the UK, Robbie will draw level with The Beatles for the most UK chart‑topping albums — a milestone that leaves the former Take That star battling serious impostor syndrome.

He said: "Yeah, I want that more than anything in my career right now, yeah, of course I do. Let me just qualify that by saying, I've broken the matrix. When that sort of record is mentioned, and it's me, I don't know how that's happened. I just know that it has. It massively makes my imposter syndrome come out to play, and the first thing I'd feel is embarrassed about it, and then the other bit, where the ego steps in, is going it's outside of my family, my kids, and my wife - the most important thing to me in the world. Yeah. There I said it, and yeah, I mean, and this is me just thinking out [loud], do I think I deserve that? No. Is it, you know, am I on the precipice of maybe achieving that? Yeah. Should I grab it with both arms? Yeah. And can I learn to be grateful and happy for it? Grateful, maybe, proud, I'm not sure yet. We'll see if that happens."

Robbie Williams believes he will 'ride again' with Take That as he gives update on 2026 reunion tour

image.png

Robbie Williams believes he will "ride again" with Take That as he spoke about the possibility of reuniting with his ex-band members. Appearing on the Scott Mills BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show today (January 12), the musician opened up on new music, being a popstar and musician and the possibility of reuniting with Take That.

The Angels hitmaker - who quit the boy band in 1995 to embark on a solo career, but has sporadically reunited with them since - hasn't been on stage with Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald since 2018, when the trio performed Shine and Everything Changes during The X Factor UK final.

Unfortunately for fans, Robbie has ruled himself out of making an appearance on the 2026 edition of their iconic 2009 jaunt. In September, the current Take That lineup announced they would be hitting the road in 2026, reviving the spectacular live show: The Circus Live.

Originally staged in 2009, The Circus Live tour broke UK records as the fastest-selling tour in history, with over 600,000 tickets sold in under 5 hours, and over one million fans attending the sell-out shows across the UK and Ireland.

The band's current line-up of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen said in a statement at the time: "The Circus tour was one of our favourite experiences as a band and, in the years since, we've talked many times about how much we'd love to do it again one day.

Yeah I want that more than anything in my career right now, of course I do”: Robbie Williams is gunning to break the Beatles' record of 15 UK Number One albums

By Will Simpson published 17 hours ago

It’s “the most important thing to me in the world” he says

Robbie Williams has spelled out in no uncertain terms what the prospect of beating The Beatles’ record of 15 Number One albums means to him. It is, apparently, “the most important thing” in the world.

The ex-Take That star was appearing on Scott Mills’ Radio 2 Breakfast Show, talking about his upcoming album, Britpop. It comes out on February 6, and if it does hit the top it will be his sixteenth UK chart topper. Of that record, Williams said: “Yeah, I want that more than anything in my career right now, of course I do.”

He added: “Let me just qualify that by saying I’ve broken the matrix. When that sort of record is mentioned and it’s me, I don’t know how that’s happened, I just know that it has. It massively makes my imposter syndrome come out to play and the first thing I feel is embarrassed about it.”

“And then the other bit, where the ego steps in is going, ‘It’s outside of my family, my kids and my wife, the most important thing to me in the world’,” he added. “Do I think I deserve that? No. Am I on the precipice of maybe achieving that? Yeah. Should I grab it with both arms? Yeah. And can I learn to be grateful and happy for it? Grateful, maybe, proud, I’m not sure yet, we’ll see if that happens.”

‘Fifteen albums? I didn’t know he’d had that many’, we hear you cry. But indeed he has. Since leaving Take That in 1995, he’s released twelve studio albums, including two ‘swing’ albums (Swing When You’re Winning and Swings Both Ways) and a festive set (2019’s The Christmas Present).

Eleven of those have indeed topped the UK charts (the exception being 2009’s Reality Killed The Video Star). In addition, there have been three greatest hits collections, and the Better Man soundtrack. So if indeed Britpop enters the chart at Number One in February, it will be number sixteen. Love him, loathe him or pity him, Robbie Williams has been very popular in his native land for a very long time.

Of course, most does not automatically mean biggest or best. After all, Westlife have somehow accumulated 14 UK Number One hits

Nevertheless, the accolade clearly means a lot to Robbie. At a gig to launch Britpop last autumn, he admitted that he had pushed its release date back to 2026 for that very reason - to avoid clashing with Taylor Swift’s The Life Of A Showgirl and to nab the record: “We’re all pretending it’s not about Taylor Swift but it f***ing is. Here’s the truth: I want 16 Number One albums.”

Robbie Williams to host special Radio 2 Sounds of the 90s takeover hour

@BBCRadio2@robbiewilliams

Published on February 6, 2026 - 11:51 am

Robbie_Williams.jpg

Robbie Williams takes over a special hour of Sounds of the 90s on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday 14 February.

The singer will front the second hour of the show, reflecting on a decade that shaped his personal life and chart success, while Fearne Cotton continues to host the opening hour as usual.

Robbie revisits the defining moments of his rise from boyband fame to solo superstardom, offering personal reflections on the pressures, headlines, and musical influences that surrounded him during one of pop’s most colourful periods.

Looking back, Robbie describes the emotional intensity of that era, saying, “the 90s was a very good time to have a bad time,” as he discusses both career highs and personal struggles.

The special broadcast arrives as his latest album Britpop reaches the top of the charts, alongside him achieving a new record for the most UK number one albums by a solo artist.

Robbie also reflects on the Britpop movement and how it influenced his own creative direction, particularly during a time when he was redefining himself after leaving Take That.

In the week that marks the 30th anniversary of the group’s split, Robbie shares his memories of the departure that became one of the biggest pop stories of its time.

He recalls his mindset at the moment he left the band, saying, “I left Take That, and I was full of anger for how I perceived how I was being treated and who I thought Gary Barlow was at the time.”

Robbie also explains how his relationship with Barlow has changed over the years, revealing their lasting friendship and mutual respect after decades in the spotlight.

During the programme, Robbie highlights the artists and cultural moments that defined his own 90s experience, including his memories of Cool Britannia and TV shows he regularly watched.

The programme also includes Robbie revisiting a rare archive moment from 1996, when he presented a one-off special show on BBC Radio 1 at the height of his early solo career.

Joining him in the studio is his wife, actress Ayda Field Williams, who hears many of his stories from that decade for the first time during the broadcast.

Music featured that shaped Robbie’s journey, includes tracks from 5ive, Underworld, East 17, Oasis, Jay Z, alongside several of his own hits from the period.

Robbie shares how some of those songs helped him process fame and rivalry within the music industry, while also revealing what he calls his favourite tune of all time.

Sounds of the 90s: The Robbie Williams Takeover can be heard on BBC Radio 2, 11pm-midnight on Saturday 14 February.

The Robbie Williams Takeover

Sounds of the 90s with Fearne Cotton

Robbie Williams… the icon of 90s icons! From being a boyband heart-throb, to a tabloid front-page regular, to launching a record-breaking solo career, Robbie’s 90s had it all… and now we get to hear all about it, in his own words. Hosting this very special hour of Sounds of the 90s, Robbie looks back at the highs and lows of a turbulent decade (he says ‘the 90s was a very good time to have a bad time’)

He's talking Britpop (the 90s movement, and the title of his record-breaking album), his love of 90s boybands, his 90s telly favourites, and, following the huge Take That documentary (Netflix), Robbie shares what his relationship with Gary Barlow looks like in 2026. Plus... the archives have been delved into, and Robbie's hearing a Radio 1 presenting stint of his from 1996.

Joining him is his wife, actress Ayda Field-Williams, hearing many of his 90s anecdotes for the very first time! Of course, it’s all accompanied by the tunes that soundtracked his 90s, with music that helped him to ‘heal’, ‘rival’ boyband bangers, and his 'favourite tune of all time’, from the likes of Five, Underworld, East 17, Oasis, Jay Z, and a few of Robbie’s 90s classics thrown in for good measure.

Produced by TBI Media for BBC Radio 2.
