Oh... it's a pity!!

Tim is a very kind and humble person.

You may remember that I met him before and after the show in Las Vegas.

I presented my CD to him.

He was so gentle and good in our small talk - I will always remember to this moment.

He made A LOT for Robbie. Big THANKS.

Grammys 2023: 20 Huge Artists And Singers Who've Never Won A Grammy

Q2FsJzq.png

It’s been well-documented that Robbie Williams’ mammoth UK success has not translated overseas, and despite having the most Brit Awards of any singers in history, he’s never managed to win a Grammy.

Interestingly, he has been nominated for two in the past, but neither were actually for his music.

His first nomination was for the music video for 1 Giant Leap’s My Culture, on which he was a featured artist, while his second was in the Best Music Film category for his live show at the Royal Albert Hall.

Robbie Williams reveals his song Cursed is about having sex with late friend Paula Yates - but admits he 'didn't actually' sleep with the star

Lyrics: Robbie Williams, 49, revealed his song Cursed is about having sex with his late friend Paula Yates as he spoke in the upcoming Channel 4 documentary, Paula (pictured in 2022)

Robbie Williams has revealed his song Cursed is about having sex with his late friend Paula Yates as he spoke in the upcoming Channel 4 documentary about her life. The singer, 49, admitted that while he 'didn't actually' bed the television presenter, he did have a 'massive crush' on her, in the candid new interview. The life of journalist Paula, who died from an accidental heroin overdose in 2000 aged 41, is the subject of the new two-part documentary. Featuring previously unheard interviews with her, recorded in 1998 and 1999, the TV programme also contains testimonies from her close friends, including Robbie. Speaking in the film, the former Take That star admits his lyric: 'Told everybody I'd slept with you. Thought you'd like it and wouldn't deny it' is a reference to Paula.

Robbie recalled his first time meeting Paula when she interviewed his band, and confessed: 'I was thinking, "Don't fancy Jason [Orange]!"

In an interview with The Times, the documentary's director, Charlie Russell, added: 'She was hugely influential on him. He had a massive crush on her but it quickly evolved into a real friendship. 'He saw similarities in them. He felt like he was lucky, that the only difference was how it ended.' Robbie previously described Cursed in the insert from the album, Escapology, as: 'A homage to a friend of mine that passed away. "St Peter’s going to be unfaithful/tell God he’s got a dirty angel" - it’s very sexy. 'I've tried to do it as rock'n'roll as I could do to fit them, and still be loving. I mourn their loss.'

Paula had a habit of rendering pop stars speechless with her devastating sex appeal and was the quintessential television icon of the 1980s.

On the music show The Tube, her co-presenter Jools Holland was reduced to playing the appalled straight man while she, amused, created anarchy. She even persuaded Sting to take his trousers off on air in 1985. Later, on The Big Breakfast, she conducted interviews with stars on a bed in the studio.

One of them, the INXS singer Michael Hutchence, she fell for headlong, their affair ending her marriage to Live Aid hero Bob Geldof – and Hutchence's romance with supermodel Helena Christensen. There followed drugs, scandals and lawsuits, and after Hutchence was found dead in a hotel room Paula, engulfed with grief, killed herself with an 'incautious' heroin overdose. Their four year old daughter was alone with her. Paula was only 41.

Her story is about to be told again by Channel 4 in a landmark two part documentary, titled Paula.

It will feature previously unbroadcast interviews with Paula about her life, given in 1998 and 1999 - just before her death in 2000.

Executive Shaminder Nahal, called Paula: 'A whirlwind of wit, verve and charisma,' adding: 'Looking at what she achieved now, it feels like no-one has ever quite matched her as a TV presenter.' Born in 1959 in Colwyn Bay, Conwy, she was raised by a father she feared, and a mother who she was afraid of losing. Her mother was Elaine Smith, a statuesque showgirl who went by the stage name Heller Toren and had a 44 inch bust, and genius level IQ of 160. Her father was Jess 'The Bishop' Yates, an avuncular showbiz veteran who presented ITV's religious show Stars On Sunday.

The marriage was not a success but Jess refused to give his wife a divorce. They separated with Jess moving to Leeds where Stars on Sunday was filmed, and Heller moving to London, where she wrote steamy novels and took lovers including the singer Tom Jones. In 1974, Jess lost his job after a scandal featuring a 16-year-old lover. In her autobiography, Yates painted a disturbing picture of her childhood. She said her mother left her repeatedly. 'I used to go to bed not knowing if she'd still be there in the morning… I would lie outside the toilet if she went to the loo.'

When Heller was gone she was left in the care of her manic depressive father, who would shut her in an orange box and practice the organ for hours. She said her disturbed upbringing left her unable to speak properly at four, not potty-trained until five, anorexic at eight, sexually intimate with an Argentine boy and dabbling in heroin aged 12.

Her mother, from whom she was estranged, denounced the account as a pack of lies. For one thing, she said Jess Yates didn't have an organ in their house, nor was young Paula ever locked in an orange box. Instead Heller claimed that Paula had always been adored, even spoiled, by her doting parents. `Fiction is always more interesting than the truth,' she said. One thing on which they both agreed though was that Paula Yates was highly intelligent and precocious.

By the time she was 14 she was a regular on the London club scene and in 1976, aged 18, she set her sights on Boomtown Rats frontman Bob Geldof, eight years her senior.

Radio presenters Esko Eerikäinen and Suvi Hartlin met artist Robbie Williams.

On March 7, radio host Esko Eerikäinen shared a joint photo on Instagram with artist Robbie Williams and his host partner Suvi Hartlin . I guess Eerikäinen and Hartlin were at the world star's gig at Nokia Arena in Tampere on March 5 - It was a gig and an evening, thank you, Eerikäinen wrote with the subject tag "love of my life" in English . In the picture, Williams is between Eerikäinen and Hartlin, wearing the jersey of the ice hockey team Ilves from Tampere. The singer's choice of shirt has been discussed quite fiercely in the comment field. - Otherwise it would have been a good picture, but that Ilves shirt ruined it, one wrote with a smiley face. - The picture is good, but why is Robbie wearing an Ilves shirt? I'd rather see where it appears or of course Tappara's shirt, another commented. – I've always said that Robbie is a great man! Having found the right shirt to wear, the self-confessed Ilves fan commented.

Williams once rose to fame as a member of the boy band Take That , but has since forged a successful solo career.

Eerikäinen and Hartlin co-host Radio Nova's afternoon broadcast.

Robbie Williams-owned media, music and performing arts institution LMA to significantly expand campus

Here East is also home to a number of global technology companies, start-ups, academic institutions and creative businesses

LMA, the Merseyside media, music and performing arts institution co-owned by Robbie Williams, has announced plans to significantly expand one of its campuses.

The organisation is to take on 70,000 sq ft of extra space at Here East at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. LMA said the move will help increase its offering at the innovation cluster and welcome 1,500 new students. The institution already has 30,220 of sq feet at Here East, where it offers six BA (hons) degrees in musical theatre, dance performance, music performance and industry, acting and performance, digital film and TV production as well as digital games art.

LMA first announced it was to open at Here East in September 2019. Here East is also home to a number of global technology companies, start-ups, academic institutions and creative businesses, including Studio Wayne McGregor, FiiT, MatchesFashion and Ford Mobility. There are 5,400 people – 3,800 who work for businesses on site and 1,600 who study – who are regularly based on site at the campus. Gavin Poole, CEO of Here East, said: "We’re delighted that LMA is expanding its offer on our campus.

"This is a vote of confidence for the benefits of the collaborative, creative hub that Here East has grown to become over the last decade. "Since joining our campus, the LMA student community has been situated among world leading creative businesses that have been established here, and this expansion is testament to the culture that has been fostered on campus. It has been a brilliant three years so far - and I look forward to many more to come." Simon Wallace, co-founder and CEO of LMA, added: "Here East has been the perfect location for LMA. Our students and staff love the site, the people and the ethos. We have been welcomed with open arms and we all feel part of a super campus and community. "The three years have flown by, but we are so excited about the expansion and what the future holds for LMA and Here East."

Very much both I would think Elisabeth & something I think he takes quite seriously . He spends time on the campus each year to talk to the students etc plus I would think he quite enjoys it as well .

I kind of knew that this song was about Paula Yates because in a biography about Rob I have read 20 years ago it says that she was by his side when he got his first tattoo - and in Cursed he sings 'Held my hand when I got my first tattoo'. So it must have been about her and everything else fits too.

In the biography I also read about a long holiday in South France in 2000 with Rob and Paula and some others. It was a much needed holiday for Rob at the time and you could tell that Paula was a very important person to Rob. At the end of that year she died of an overdose of drugs and in 2001 Rob made another attempt to quit drugs. This time it was successful and I always had the feeling that the drug death of a beloved person like Paula was the wake-up call for Rob to finally succeed in staying drug-free. This sentence in the article may confirm this: 'He saw similarities in them. He felt like he was lucky, that the only difference was how it ended.'

I am inclined to agree Lundi, he was indeed one of the lucky ones ..
