Clueless f***ing donkey. You’ve f*** all idea what the people of Scotland think. The SNP have won every single election held here since 2011, they’re polling at 40+% after being in power since 2007. We know what we want and what we want is the f*** away from eejits like you voting to f*** yourself and millions of others.

If the exit poll in Scotland is correct, the Tories will have to appoint English MPs to the Scottish Office.

Why is that a problem though? Does it really matter? Should be the best person for the job surely.

Would you be saying that if Labour won an 86 seat majority tonight?

Labour's policies are broadly more inclusive and less harmful to people's lives so I think I have a good reason not to in that circumstance. Rich people in leafy countryside towns being left behind is less of an pressing issue than struggling urban people.

and for the record i've always been far more in that former social circle than the latter this is a desire for everyone to be more equal.

Okay so that's a NO then.

Yes - the uk is an unequal relationship and should be taken apart!

With the caveat that European styles of governance where countries actually have to talk to each other produce countries that aren't in consistent political volatility like ours.

Taking statements without any nuance is a HUGE anti-intellectual problem and I won't stand for it.

So as they're saying on the BBC now, a Prime Minister tends to grow in the role. So I expect a more confident and humble Boris Johnson.

Perhaps you'd like to go to Scotland and try selling that.

Youll be a long time waiting.

HAHAHHAHAJAHAHAHA

One day at a time. We'll see how they like the 5 years of a hard right Tory government they voted for x

I am confused, though. There was a youthquake?

Was it even a tremor?

The Lib Dems fell for the fake Brexit % . That 15% got added onto the Tories. 45%. Labour will be 30-33% I reckon. Numb and also wiped out from fighting the Tories and Brexit. I'm gonna take a break from politics for a while I think.

You're going to leave this group to me & Chris, then? :teresa:

They're doing away with the fixed term parliament act, they potentially can hold another election in 8,9,10 years if they want, and they absolutely will, don't put it past them.

The election's over, more scaremongering is redundant.

Don't you believe in democracy though? If the electorate have voted for a Tory government then so be it. Something must have attracted them to the big bad evil Tories. It begins with B.

+1

Something stupid like 47 seats technically classed as marginal out of 59. Absolutely insane place to be in a FPTP election

Surely having a lot of seats where everyone's vote can make a difference is a good thing?

Speculation on DS that many of these votes that have helped them take these seats are only temporary because of Brexit. If it's a disaster and the economy and housing market crashes then they'll move back to Labour or LD in 2024. I agree with that.

My thoughts too.

PM'd you a link. Nothing to hide. Am very transparent. Don't post much on there. :D

Thanks.

Just noticed, turnout was *down* on 2017 - unexpected, given all the coverage of vast numbers of people signing up.

Turnout change figures by age might be interesting though.

Why do the conservatives always win?😭

They didn't from 1997 to 2010. You must be too young. :D

My grandad will be turning in his grave as the Tories took Penistone & Stocksbridge. Who'd have thought that a few years ago. It's next to red Barnsley, working class, not rich at all. Never had as big a Labour majority as Barnsley though.

Two seats left to declare. Tory majority 76 then.

Only just seen that Laura Pidcock's gone. :o Had her as a likely future leader.

Sad that Dennis Skinner's gone and didn't get the chance to be Father Of The House. His declaration was the one to take Boris over 326.

Swinson's resigned as Lib-Dem leader.

Yeh can't believe Skinner is gone, a brexiteer as well but it didn't matter...

Was it him or another MP who said he'd only leave the Commons in a box? :o
