November 16, 20204 yr It would require a lot of good luck to reach #1 earlier in December, it would certainly rely on normal hits having fairly weak sales! Mariah's video streams were higher than Wham's and Pogues this week, so hopefully it's a sign that her streams are normal, just down on the equivalent week in 2019? 13th Nov 2020: 454,368 - Mariah (-15.38%) 354,533 - Wham (-6.82%) 84,570 - Pogues (-34.79%) 15th Nov 2019: 536,961 - Mariah 380,483 - Wham 129,698 - Pogues Youtube had her doing 788,486. I really dont understand how the OCC come up with their streams data, it's like they are just making them up.
November 16, 20204 yr My warning rating would increase from 0% to 125% and I wouldn't be permitted on the forums until 2525. e2ZRSwul7cE LMAOO mood You’ll be warned for mentioning that Mariah’s sales are down year on year
November 16, 20204 yr Author Youtube had her doing 788,486. I really dont understand how the OCC come up with their streams data, it's like they are just making them up. Ultimately these are the 'video streaming' sales OCC gave the 3 songs last week (with ACR applied): 414 - Mariah 330 - Wham! 81 - The Pogues Whereas these were the video sales on 27th Dec '19 (again, with ACR applied): 2067 - Wham! 1142 - The Pogues 645 - Mariah Personally I'd say that's a good indication that Mariah's video streams are being counted properly now!
November 16, 20204 yr Maybe video streams are just down a lot in general from last year then ~ The OCC's implementation of video streams has been dodgy and error ridden from day 1 though.
November 16, 20204 yr Wasn't Mariah's first actual week at #1 supposed to be 13th December 2018, she could make it the corresponding week of this year if streams are high enough with no big hits (like Thank, U next which blocked it last time)
November 16, 20204 yr Ultimately these are the 'video streaming' sales OCC gave the 3 songs last week (with ACR applied): 414 - Mariah 330 - Wham! 81 - The Pogues Whereas these were the video sales on 27th Dec '19 (again, with ACR applied): 2067 - Wham! 1142 - The Pogues 645 - Mariah Personally I'd say that's a good indication that Mariah's video streams are being counted properly now! Thanks for the stats. It still doesnt sit right with me. On Youtubes charts Wham did 449k, the OCC also calculated less for it but no where near as much as they did for Mariah. I bet they dont even look at official numbers, just make it up as they go along. Babyshark is number 1 on their video chart this week yet it's not even in YTs top 100
November 16, 20204 yr I’m here for this going to no. 1 this year too, always so much better than the Pogues. I mean, unless Becky Hill does it. Edited November 16, 20204 yr by Thom Renegade K
November 16, 20204 yr No. You'd be warned for being antagonistic and trolling for the sake of it. Screaming
November 24, 20204 yr Author Up to #12 in the midweeks! Interestingly it's following a similar pattern to last year, but comparatively a week earlier than usual. 15/11/2019: #77 | 13/11/2020: #60 22/11/2019: #59 | 20/11/2020: #31 29/11/2019: #34 | 27/11/2020: TBA (Midweek #12) 06/12/2019: #08 This will be the first time 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' has made the Top 20 in November. Would be even more impressive if it could get Top 10, but that might be a bit out of reach.
November 28, 20204 yr Author Something that's pretty crazy: in the 'old rules' chart, All I Want for Christmas Is You is #2 this week! :o It sold 36,387, but with ACR applied, that cut its sales down to 18,609 and pushed it down to #14. In the same week in 2019 (29th November 2019), Mariah was #16 in the 'old rules' chart with 27,565, but #34 with 14,360 in the official chart. That's an amazing improvement, and we're still not in December. I'm keeping everything crossed that it can somehow finally reach #1 officially.
