Lewis has closed the gap a lot again today (only 28k behind now). Obviously not going to get the #1 this week but maybe he could still get there next week...

 

Stormzy has overtaken him to #2 on Apple Music, still #4 on Spotify though. Stormzy's album is out on 13 December, if that gives 'Own It' a significant boost it could yet end up being the Xmas #1 (especially as that's the new weeks Tones is due to go to ACR if she starts declining in streams again now).

Finally! It could be argued that it would do the same for Idina Menzel, since her other two only just scraped into the top 40. This looks like it could do a lot better considering it's top ten on iTunes as well.

'Into The Unknown' is definitely a lot better than 'Let It Go', still not really something I'd ever be itching to listen to but it's alright enough for what it is. Still surprised at how little pre-release hype there seemed to be for 'Frozen 2' but the songs from the soundtrack are zooming up iTunes/Spotify now the film is actually out so I guess it is still going to have a solid chart presence after all. Actually wouldn't be surprised if 'Into The Unknown' ends up outpeaking 'Let It Go' but not selling anywhere near as much in total due to being less of a slow burner.

 

Unrelated note: Lewis Capaldi has finally uploaded a (lyric) video for 'Before You Go' to his YouTube channel. I was wondering if he was actually ever going to, considering he never did for 'Hold Me While You Wait' (that only has live versions on Lewis' official channel).
