The music video was shot by Dave Meyers. Also, HITS labeled the track as the first official single, so it seems that this is the one to be pushed in the US.

From HITS:

The first official single from Harry Styles second album, "Adore You," will be released Friday via Erskine/Columbia.

A Dave Meyers-directed video will also premiere Friday; a trailer dropped today. His album Fine Line will be released 12/13.

If there's an instrumental teaser of the song in there it sounds GREAT. I've got high hopes if they've avoided sending the past two tracks to radio ready for this...!

'Adore You' is the official FIRST single!

Now I understand the lack of promo and radio in the US for "Lights Up'. And Sony never mentions that 'Lights Up' was the first single. They were just saying it is Harry's new music in over 2 years. I was thinking both songs were buzz singles. Amazing.

For buzz singles both have done very well.

They may have some tricks lined up for Adore You if it is the official lead single.

Lights Up was certainly the lead single in the UK, but Adore You is the first global single (notably in America!) :magic:

The latest flyer from Columbia seems to confirm this.

I hope he flogs tshirts to fans which say ADORE YOU THE FIRST OFFICIAL SINGLE BY HARRY STYLES to avoid confusion with his LIGHTS UP THE NEW SINGLE BY HARRY STYLES tshirts, which fans are still waiting to receive. Music promotion in 2019 is wild.
This is great... not as good as ‘Lights Up’ but that’s my favourite song from any of the One Direction boys ever
Hmm this is the first song from this era that I'm not particularly caring for! A shame as I really enjoyed 'Lights Up' and then thought 'Watermelon Sugar' was even better than that. I quite like the synthy production but the rest of the song falls a bit flat.

Completely agree with this tbh. It's a nice enough song, but I don't care as much about it as I did Lights Up or Watermelon Sugar.

Knew all the over-dramatic hype was too good to be true.
