The finalists for The X Factor Celebrity have recorded a cover of Leona Lewis’ version of Run (originally by Snow Patrol). Proceeds from the single are going towards Together for Short Lives and Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.

A great version and that little girl at the end is just

I wouldn’t say a great version. It’s some mediocre vocals singing over the instrumental of Leona Lewis’s cover of it. The little girl at the end save’s it.

^agree

can the factor producers get more lazy, a cover of a cover they've already done... find something else

To be fair Leona didn’t cover it on xfactor, it was the lead single for the re release of her debut album so not really anything to do with xfactor and their producers

At least it’s for a good cause? Y’all stop moaning

That's not an excuse for a lazy, mediocre cover though. They can raise money for charity and put some effort in recording a decent song.

^Exactly, the cause and the song are separate entities and terrible songs for good causes shouldn't be exempt from criticism as they often (especially from Simon Cowell) are lazy and dreadful.
It’s horrific... but hopefully it sells well and makes money for the two incredible charities it is supporting and promoting
I do prefer the Leona version but this version is ok and it is for a good cause

how? with a zero from streams? it's like #700 on Apple and not top 200 on Spotify

Daily iTunes sales for #1 are just 1K normally, this is doing 3 times more, so that's 3k a day but not more... just stop 40 is the max they can get

It’s also nearly 2 days behind on sales opportunity as it came out at 9pm on Saturday. It probably won’t peak any higher than what it gets this week, but at the end of it all it’s to raise money for charity and any chart impact is a bonus
Well if this wasn't the third nail in the coffin before (the fourth obviously being that 'The Band' starting next week which is sure to be awful) then it is now. How far things fall in 10 years.

From 7,689 sales at 99p a pop that is £7612 and 11 pence.

Wow that was worthwhile.
