Isn't that actually a place lower than 'Watermelon Sugar' entered? (although in fairness it has more competition from Christmas songs ofc but still that doesn't seem like a super impressive start for a proper new single, especially as I'd say this one sounds more like a hit single than the previous 2 songs! I'm sure it'll pick up though x)

edit: I'm wrong, 'Watermelon Sugar' entered at #25, not #15 x that's not too bad then.

I actually think adore you will do pretty well over all. It has a more ‘commercial’ sound and I think the video alone will garner some interest. It might not get to number 1 but I think it’ll have longevity...
Indeed, Stormzy up to #4 today and Lewis down to #5 so he's now ahead of Lewis everywhere that Kworb tracks. (Tones And I is back at #1 on Apple though... please dear god don't let this be a sign that she's going to end up just dodging ACR again :drama: she is down 90k week-on-week on Spotify at least x)

the Taylor farm song was #6 on NMF and not on any big playlist (not HH or TTH) so of course it's not gonna do well

actually it wasn't even on This is Taylor Swift playlist, at least yesterday :D

crazy how popular Harry Styles seems to be on the US if this can debut at #1 on US Spotify

for me it's a typical case of better video than song, which I find absolutely mediocre

I really don't know what their label is doing, with album #1 they try to sell him like a real rock artist like a Bowie of the 2010s

but now it's like they erase everything and regress to the 1 Direction days

with album 1 they were catering to rock fans it seemed and now they're back to catering to 12 year old fan girls

:)

I wouldn't say any of Harry's singles from this era sounded like One Direction songs at all... 'Adore You' is definitely a more commercial sound than the previous two (a much less bold choice than 'Lights Up' which, although I'm not a fan, I have to admit stands out among the majority of other chart music as sounding a lot more mature and 'artistic') but it's still more mature than the 1D discography. And 'Watermelon Sugar' in particular would have fit in fine on his first album based on the couple of songs I heard from that.

'bad vibes forever' is a re-entry

thanks.

this new XXX album seems to be incredibly low key anyhow, even accounting for Christmas tracks dominating. even in the US it isn't doing as well as you'd expect.

X's fanbase has clearly decided en masse to not support these heavily exploitative posthumous albums - it's surprising they're doing THIS badly when his older hits are still picking up pretty significant numbers in the background but still, good. x
Why on Earth release it this week and not two weeks ago?!

Just found out she only wrote it on december 1st so that probably would have been a reason

This...none of Harry’s singles from Fine Line would fit with any one directions album. Yes, they’re different to HS1 but what’s wrong with that?? He’s inspired by a lot of different artist and his music reflects that🤷🏼‍♀️

Just found out she only wrote it on december 1st so that probably would have been a reason

Ah that's a fair reason, seems quite last minute. With the amount of new releases she could have waited until Christmas 2020.

you really need to take a chill pill, nothing's going on

on Spotify, it's a transition week with DM at #1 once again

Christmas Hits has finally updated - Taylor and Katy were added. Sadly no luck for Little Mix and Mabel. It's a shame an American leaning playlist is the main promoted one this year. It's even holding Leona back slightly, but at least it's giving Kelly a great year.
