Christmas chart week! LadBaby is aiming for a second consecutive xmas #1 with I Love Sausage Rolls, challenged by Stormzy with Own It, boosted by the release of his album. Other contenders include Tones and I, Lewis Capaldi and Dua Lipa plus the usual Christmas tracks and chart campaigns

The album chart looks an open race - Stormzy chases a second #1 album with Heavy Is The Head, same for Harry Styles with Fine Line, while Rod Stewart or Robbie Williams could also take the top spot

Breakdown of the week

- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm

- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.

- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)

- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).

- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.

- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored.

- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

I think Stormzy has this in the bag now, a double win for Stormzy
Wouldn't say no. But for no1 continuity maybe Ladbaby this week, Mariah next then something new (like Stormzy) into 2020. Ideally Mariah for two weeks would be brillant.

I think Ladbaby in the singles. Albums is hard to call this week.

If LadBaby gets #1 on Friday, I hope Stormzy can get either the final #1 of 2019 or the first #1 of 2020. Depends on LB’s sales as they’re doing quite poor on streaming

Surely the last one of 2019 is Mariah's for the taking? :D All those streams from Fri. to Wed. Nearly a full week of big streaming.

But there’s ACR and Boxing Day as people don’t really stream Xmas songs as much on Boxing Day. She’d get it easily if she could get a reset. She’s gonna need to be quite high on sales too

Oh she has no chance then.

The last chart of 2019 will have the week ending of 2 January, that will count as the first #1 of 2020 ;) if we go by the OCC rules towards week ending.

Most people go with week beginning hence why a lot of people class "Happy" as the final #1 of 2013, not the first #1 of 2014. "The Climb" is classed as the final #1 of 2009, not the first #1 of 2010 and its classed as a 00s #1, not a 10s #1. And "Sweet But Psycho" being classed as the final #1 of 2018, not the first #1 of 2019. I always go with the date the chart is announced (when it happened)

No i was referring to hadji comment that noone streams christmas music on boxing day would hinder mariah, spotify only uses estimates for thursday based on the rest of the week in theory it should actually work in mariahs favour this year

Stormzy has done well on Spotify but not THAT well, was expecting >750K or around, don't think he's gonna do enough at the rate he's done so far
Harry is looking at a 420-440k number 1 spot in the US. I know it won’t sell as many as that in the U.K. but if it’s anything to go by, he should do well here too😁
