44. Everything Everything – Kemosabe

Chart peak: 1 (3 weeks)

Year: 2013

I swear I have no idea what most of the lyrics are on Kemosabe. I pretty sure the chorus is not 'I got wasabi in my eye'.....?

Hands down best track of 2019. I bloody love Becky Hill (and this sounds really early 00s Fragma).

Another superb 90s sounding/80s sampling house track from 2014. What a year!

39. Ásgeir – Torrent

Chart peak: 1 (2 weeks)

Year: 2014

The second track from Icelandic Ásgeir with the biggest single from In The Silence. Imagine my disappointment when I wanted to send this to BJSC and it has already been sent. Typical.

When the already fabulous Paloma Faith collaborates with Sigma to make a club banger, you know its going to be good!

Chart peak: 1 (3 weeks)

Year: 2015

I had already charted Y&Y with the Magician "Sunlight' the year before thanks to BJSC, but when this arrived I was pretty much blown away. A much deserved Official Chart number 1 as well.

35. The Last Shadow Puppets – Aviation

Chart peak: 1 (3 weeks)

Year: 2016

Superb 60s flavoured track from Alex off the Arctic Monkeys and Miles Kane. This side project was better than the Artics themselves in the last decade.

I have literally just noticed that Eleven off Stranger Things is in the video for this (second best) tune from I See You!

33. Röyksopp feat. Susanne Sundfør - Running To The Sea

Chart peak: 1 (2 weeks)

Year: 2013

A beautiful collaboration from my perpetual fave Röyksopp and the ethereal Susanne Sundfør - one of 3 chart numbers 1s from me for them however this is the first best and the only one in my top 80.

32. Friendly Fires – Heaven Let Me In

Chart peak: 1 (4 weeks)

Year: 2018

The best track from Inflorescent - this may be due to the uncredited mix from Disclosure. Still not the highest Friendly Fires track on this countdown!

31. Gorillaz feat. George Benson – Humility

Chart peak: 1 (5 weeks)

Year: 2018

It's no secret I bloody love the Gorillaz, although they have sadly gone off the boil in the 2010s after the peak of 'Feel Good Inc' and 'DARE' in 2005. However, Humilty is a great summery track well deserved of being the longest running number 1 of 2018 on my chart - and it now reminds me of a boiling hot holiday in Italy. The video is great too, although I do miss Noodle :(

Recap 40-31:

31 Gorillaz feat. George Benson – Humility

32 Friendly Fires – Heaven Let Me In

33 Röyksopp feat. Susanne Sundfør - Running To The Sea

34 The xx – I Dare You

35 The Last Shadow Puppets – Aviation

36 Years & Years – King

37 Sigma feat. Paloma Faith – Changing

38 Jamie xx feat. Romy – SeeSaw

39 Ásgeir – Torrent

40 Secondcity – I Wanna Feel

Some really good songs in here Jester, a lot that I love and have performed well chart wise for me too, especially in the top 50, Tame Impala, Jamie xx, Everything Everything, Last Shadow Puppets, Royksopp.

63. The xx – Say Something Loving

One of 3 tracks from the brilliant xx on this countdown. I wasn't so sure about this song when I first heard it, but it totally clicked along with the rest of I See You soon after - Oliver and Romy have such great voices and they go so well together. I may also have a crush on Oliver hahah

This never happened for me unfortunately. :( I think I See You would be an album of the decade contender were it not for this and Dangerous, have never been able to warm to those opening two tracks, but everything after that is perfection and I think their best album.

I appear to have missed quite a lot of this oops.

Runaway was a really good breakthrough single for Galantis, not their best for me but still a very good song and I'm glad it was such a hit!

Everything Everything always bring something different, I think Distant Past was the first song I heard of theirs and it was certainly an introduction but still a song I really like!

Feel It Still is still incredibly catchy, glad it finally caught on in the UK.

Say Something Loving has grown on me a lot since it was released I think, I didn't really think too much of it when it was released but now I'm remembering it quite fondly.

Won't Look Back was another fab offering from Duke Dumont, that music video really makes it for me also.

Let It Happen remains my favourite Tame Impala song, incredibly groovy and very memorable!

King was a brilliant breakthrough single for Years and Years as well, one of many great #1s from 2015 (just before the chart decided to take a sharp downwards turn :P)

Great list so far!

29. Adele – Set Fire To The Rain

Chart peak: 1 (3 weeks)

Year: 2011

When this cracking song is only the third best from 21, you know its a good album! This was robbed of the top 10 on the official chart, but at least it was an Billboard number 1.

28. Disclosure feat. Eliza Doolittle – You & Me

Chart peak: 2

Year: 2013

Not quite my favourite Disclosure track of the decade, but quite close. This lost out as a chart topper for me in a highly competitive time for my chart which was just full of superb dance tunes. I despise everything else Eliza Doolittle has done, so clearly it's the magic of Disclosure that makes this an exception.

The best YouTube comment for this: 'That baseline makes my vagina cry!' This reminds me of a flight I was on to Germany looking out over the clouds - quite the moment.
