Has anyone noticed how the papers are more focused on sexualising this album than anything else..

 

The new Mirror article is disgusting and the comments from the public are utterly disgraceful.

I've seen so many articles now sexualising this album because of a few lyrics in a couple of the songs, it's gross how they do this to women.

I’ve had another listen to the album and I’m still not wowed by it yet. I don’t know if my expectations were just to high but it kinda just lacks punch all the way through.

 

Happiness and Sweet Melody are career highs and I’m actually really liking My Love Won’t Let You Down. But as a whole package I think every album they’ve done except DNA tops this. It’s a shame as the album is actually rather short (like their last few albums all had deluxe versions so naturally they were more bulked up) but I was under the impression that they didn’t have a deluxe because there was no need and because every track brought something but idk. I think if different singles had been selected I may have been more positive it always helps when you listen to strong tracks as part of an album and not pre release bc they were singles or grats but they actually picked the best stuff to be singles / grats.

 

I still love them and they do have everything like they are stars! but yeah it seems a common opinion too that the albums slightly underwhelmed on first listen. I mean it’s still better than most girl bands at their best but I just expected a bit more. It’s more like an album 2 than an album 6 with LM5 the album itself it may have its lows but the album itself had so many album tracks I still go back to now I don’t think there’s much replay value on this.

Confetti is the first little mix album I've listened to in full and I am impressed! Fell in love with them during the Glory Days era but only really listened to the singles. After that nothing they released really interested me but Sweet Melody really blew me away. Love happiness, a mess, and breathe are my favs on first listen. Really feels like they are back to where they were during Glory days and glad SM is seeing some great success!
