I know it's up on the last two years. But given the current circumstances, I think that's a disappointing launch figure. It should have been at least over 9m, imo.
i’ve seen lots of comments about not knowing it was back too - maybe next weeks figure will be higher?
Ratings for Quiz climbed throughout the week: 5.3m for Monday, 5.4m for Tuesday and 5.8m for Wednesday (peaking "way over" 6.5m).

Gogglebox received its highest overnight ever last night with 4.5m viewers, including a 42.1% share of 16-34 year olds! Friday Night Dinner followed with 2m and a 33.6% share of 16-34s.

5.2m for MasterChef, over 2m up on what the series started with in February.

From Digital Spy forums, but only info that's posted on Twitter by people in the business are allowed to be disclosed.
Ok thanks. Glad to see Gogglebox got it's highest overnight figure, it was a good episode as most of them are.

Together At Home rated 5.4m on Sunday.

The first episode of Britain's Got Talent rated 10.83m (10.94m with 4-screens data) officially, placing it as the third most watched programme of the year:

ITV Press Release:

ITV’s Quiz does the biz

ITV’s Quiz opened with 9 million viewers, making it the biggest drama on TV this year.

The first episode, on Monday 13 April, consolidated after seven days with 9m, which is also the highest rating drama on ITV since Manhunt in January last year. A further 1.1m viewers watched the later repeat at 23.50 that evening taking the combined total audience past the 10m mark.

Quiz, about the notorious Who Wants To Be A Millionaire “coughing” incident, which starred Michael Sheen as Chris Tarrant, James MacFadyen as Major Charles Ingram and Sian Clifford as his wife Diana, was particularly popular among young viewers. It averaged 1.5 million for the 16-34 - the highest rating drama for this age bracket since Line of Duty on BBC One in May 2019.

Nearly 7m tuned into Coronation Street last night (excluding adverts it was over 7m). Thoroughly deserved! Should be over 7m on Monday.

EDIT: 6.8m has been revealed as the figure on Twitter:

I would imagine that tomorrow’s anticipated PM’s statement will eclipse the 23/3 rating.
