It is hilarious how the average non chart geeks think this means they are no1 lol, had to bite my tongue a lot this weekend when political activists in Ireland thought Wolftones were no1 in various countries world wide.

Saw one saying "well they're #1 on iTunes so they must be in the official top 10!" :P

Indeed! Although it's slightly frustrating too because even some websites and papers believe that a number one on iTunes makes them the actual number one. I read an article on The Wolfe Tones earlier this week where they included quotes from someone who said that because it was 'the UK number one' (even though that was just on iTunes on the last two days of the week) that radio NEEDS to play it now :lol:

Yeh they all have their own agendas - had to explain to a friend that they would have to be no1 all week on iTunes not just for 48 hours to even have a slight chance. Least all the money raised is going to the homeless in Dublin.
