Posted January 11, 20205 yr To be released soon. Written alongside Kamille and Steve Mac. @1215657188569559040 "Last year was a breakthrough year and in 2020 we've got to cement Mabel as a global pop star. We're coming out strong, we've got big single coming that we're really excited about. It feels as big if not bigger. It's another record with Steve and Kamille and it sounds like another huge global pop hit to me. So we start the year strong, the same as we did last year."
January 11, 20205 yr Don't think there's any other hits on her debut album so a new song is probably the correct choice - just seems rather soon
January 11, 20205 yr Don't think there's any other hits on her debut album so a new song is probably the correct choice - just seems rather soon I thought 'OK (Anxiety Anthem)' had real potential. It's a shame artists don't actually properly see through their album campaigns these days.
January 11, 20205 yr It's a shame she's moving on so quickly but I'm excited to hear new stuff from her, reckon she has the potential to get a #01 if she times everything right.
January 11, 20205 yr It's a shame she's moving on so quickly but I'm excited to hear new stuff from her, reckon she has the potential to get a #01 if she times everything right. With something as big sounding as DCMU she really could smash it out the park
January 11, 20205 yr I'd guess this is just a new track to tack onto the album to push its streaming figures up a bit rather than being the start of a whole new era. Whatever it is I really hope it's better than her last couple of singles, it's been a while now since she put out a song I actually like oop ~
January 11, 20205 yr Last year was a breakthrough year and in 2020 we've got to cement Mabel as a global pop star. Well good luck with that, Mabel's team, but I think its unlikely Mabel is going to be a global pop star, the UK doesn't have as many global pop stars as much as it used to. Having said that she still should get some more big hits in the UK. I liked 'Don't Call Me Up' and 'Mad Love' so I am looking forward to this new single. January 11, 20205 yr Oh exciting. Didn't expect new solo music this soon after the album. Although the three of them together made DCMU and Mad Love so hopefully that means this will be just as good!
January 11, 20205 yr did they add God is a Dancer to her album? Yup, it's track 1 on the album on Spotify. Don't know why they put it there instead of at the end as it's now before the intro track but hey ho. I always forget 'God Is A Dancer' was a thing, that song was a lot better than all of her own singles that she put out in 2019 but still not great.
January 12, 20205 yr Author Yup, it's track 1 on the album on Spotify. Don't know why they put it there instead of at the end as it's now before the intro track but hey ho.People tend to go to the first track when they want to listen to an album, so this might be the reason why her team tacked "God Is A Dancer" as the first song on streaming services, despite that there's basically a track called "Intro" as you said. However, it should be noted that "God Is A Dancer" was tacked as the last song on digital platforms.
January 12, 20205 yr pretty bizarre to have an album now that goes Track 1: God is a dancer, Track 2: Album Intro :D
January 12, 20205 yr Those writers fill me with a lot of hope! If Dua can smash America maybe Mabel can:(
January 12, 20205 yr I suppose the album was only released last summer but he campaigns been going throughout 2018/19!
January 13, 20205 yr I love her music but Ivy To Roses was so much better than High Expectations as a collective of tracks.
