January 13, 20205 yr Picture: 1989  They all sound like great predictions, I’m awful at predicting things like this though so I won’t do my own :’) Think it’s pretty certain anyway but praying Florence gets her supporting actress nomination 🙌🏼 That category is probably the strongest for me, I’d be happy with any of those you’ve listed winning the award, all incredible performances. I’d love to see Greta nominated too but like you say, that’s an absolute bloodbath.

January 13, 20205 yr Author YES FLORENCE. Absolutely gutted at no J Lo though :( This is me rn haha 😂😭😭
January 13, 20205 yr Author Frozen 2 missing in animation :o :o :o Beyonce missed in song! Apollo 11 missed documentary! Oops acting ended up being not too unpredictable (bar J Lo). Was hoping for some bigger shocks than Erivo, Pryce and Phillips in director haha -> Awkwafina missing   That picture line-up is fab tho! (F v F unseen)
January 13, 20205 yr Author No Booksmart for original screenplay either 💔  it deserved it so badly, WGA and BAFTA gave me false hope :(
January 13, 20205 yr Author WAIT I just realised Taron Egerton missed :o shocked after he won globe and got noms at all 3 guilds :o
January 13, 20205 yr Author omg idc about multiple posts in a row (I'm barely here anymore xx) but I'm getting more and more upset as I look through my predicts :( The Farewell completely snubbed  Glasgow missing song
January 13, 20205 yr Double ScarJo <3 <3 I low-key want her to win more for Jojo Rabbit than for Marriage Story. Oops.
January 13, 20205 yr I'm shocked that J.Lo missed out. I thought she was as close as a lock-in as possible :o I know Todd Phillips would get a director nod though. Quite happy with my predictions, especially my Antonio Banderas pick. I also got the 9 best picture & the 10 screenplay nominations spot on!!! :cheer: Edited January 13, 20205 yr by LewisGT
January 13, 20205 yr Wow at Joker, that's only second behind Titanic in most nominations ever! :o I knew it would get a few, but it was relatively muted in the other ceremonies and doesn't have the best critical response so I wasn't sure, excellent to see though, it was deservedly one of the talking points of last year. A shame to see Greta Gerwig miss Best Director as I thought this would've been a good chance, but I'm not massively surprised. Knives Out and The Lighthouse only getting one is quite surprising too, I was hopeful for the latter, I'll take any horror representation at the Oscars. Lovely to see Klaus get a nomination even if I doubt it’ll beat Toy Story, beautiful film  I've only seen two of the Best Picture noms atm (Joker and ...Hollywood) but it's certainly looking a better line-up than last year. Not that it could possibly get worse from two painfully average films being the top winners!
