February 10, 20205 yr Probably not a big deal to all of you but Iceland is SO proud today as Hildur Guðnadóttir has become the first Icelander to win an Oscar with her Best Original Score win last night and AFAIK only the second woman ever to win the award for Best Original Score which is huge. She's so adorable and this is so well deserved. 2019 was a huge year for her and as she was the late Jóhannes Jóhannsson apprentice seeing her continue his legacy on like this is so heartwarming.
