If you think about it if parents go and buy LM for Xmas presents for kids that week or on pre order then KM has little chance. Let's see how their TV show is tomorrow. Personally I am not a fan of theirs but you cannot deny their fan base......

 

I am pretty sure Kylie will have some more limited editions waiting to be announced that week if it close otherwise she may announce the week after or week 3 to get Xmas purchases and some album longevity too.

 

The good thing is everyone is become aware of the feat that she could achieve and she/BMG are very aware so she may get some goodwill sales and special offers to help.

Last week album needed only 9600 copies for number 1...….. it sold only 138 physicals and 193 downloads 😜

Its interesting they have pointed out to kylie that say something didnt take off and her response.

The sound by this is a mixture of good upbeat dance funk.

Im hating the fact that she wont release it earlier and secure a nbr 1 album and the feat of having a nbr 1 album in 5 consecutive decades plus a nbr 1 album 3 years in a row...

What a shame

I would kind of agree to be fair, i think it would be incredible for her to achieve and to be fair its not a feat many will manage, i know she has a good few more years in which she can achieve it but id like her to be the first.

She could still be........

 

 

It’s all to play for - of course she could have released nearly any other week and been guaranteed a #1, pre-orders are strong and we have no idea what promo etc., is coming up. I still think she will do it - it’ll just be a battle.

I do see Kylie making it.

 

Battles mean more sales its a great campaign if you ask me - she may end up the runner up but from a media point of view there is an angle , also Quarter 4 releases always sell more so overall that is a strategy in itself and the first time Kylie has had an album out in quarter 4 for a while apart from Kylie Christmas

Thanks for posting this, gonna watch it shortly.

In the first few mins when golden is mentioned she still lights up, i really think golden is a very special album to kylie. Good interview I'd like to see her push that first female to get a number 1 across 5 decades that little bit more as its quite an astonishing feat if she gets it. I could watch kylie in interview all day, she has a great nack at giving you something but leaving you wanting way more.
