TV shows will be highly limited.

I would be unsure about a Kylie show with no audience, it could be very strange having no audience reaction.

While kylie should safely get 30k that figure could be beaten by another big release.

Most no1 albums are only averaging around 30k a week now. In the run up to Christmas, it might be slightly more and of course artists like Ed Sheeran and Adele will sell a lot more but Kylie has a good chance of reaching no1 on the back of the success of golden, the greatest hits and the popularity of say something!

Well she has sold 1600 downloads so that shows you she already has quite a few pre orders in the bag. Those bundles soon add up even if just the 2 and 3 version bundles too.

I am sure lots of stuff will be people's Christmas lists too.....

Adele has confirmed her album's been put back to 2021, and what's Ed Sheeran gonna release by the end of the year?

Mind you, I wouldn't put it past him...

I am pretty sure a lot of record companies are aware of Kylie. They haven't picked that week randomly. BMG will be aware and will know any rumours etc.

They will not be able to prevent a Taylor Swift moment like this week for instance or a Beyonce release etc last minute but they will know the pre orders they have and have ability to release when they need to even if it is a few weeks earlier etc. They can just blame Covid etc to make it not look staged lol.

Lets see what they have in store

The problem that may happen is something such as Elvis Presley/other artist and Orchestra type thing for Xmas shoppers that have ability to sell lots. Maybe Alfie Boe and Michael Ball etc.

Disco will provide Kylie with her 18th Top 10 album, 23rd Top 40 and if it goes to plan, 8th Number 1.

Such an amazing accomplishment.

I'd like to think 30k would be the minimum she will sell in week 1.

I think she could beat golden’s opening first week sale and sell around 50k first week.

With sales generally higher at that point of the year it is very possible.

That said, if the virus 2nd wave outbreak comes it could drastically reduce that figure to 20,000.

Sales weren’t too high in the equivalent week of November 2019, the #1 sold 31,946 (The Script). Totally depends on who her competition ends up being.
It's true that she has never been over used. Kylie gas never suffered from over exposure and that does help longevity. With some artists they never take a break while things are good and get over exposed which puts people off.

I think DISCO will have a solid opening week especially as it’ll have been on pre-order for 4 months by the time it’s released.

I have 7 copies on order - HMV exclusive, Amazon exclusive and the webstore ‘Super Deluxe’ bundle with all 5 formats. It wouldn’t surprise me if we don’t get another version along the way too.

Just checked Amazon - the exclusive vinyl is #1 on their vinyl chart and #4 on the overall best sellers music chart :cheer:

Your dedication and collection commitment is amazing.

Kylie is lucky to have fans like you.
