Ready for an absolute classique episode *.* never seen it before

The climax of ‘Sharongate’ from 1994 is next week’s episode

I remember watching sharongate and it was great so i look forward yo watching it in full again, there was a great build up to that reveal throughout the whole episode.
Secrets from the Square and Classic EastEnders both rated sub 2m. Not great I guess, but I wasn't expecting them to rate similar to how the main show (which is sub 4m).

 my EE consumption is all over the place right now with Classic EE being 1994 and BBC showing 1986 and 2008.

Living for little Sonia berating her mother for ‘stealing’ after pocketing some found money. It’s funny to think that in 20 years she herself will steal charity money to pay for dodgy gastric band surgery. I’m in 25 years she will scam money off Dot for.....you know, I can’t even remember

It was for Martin’s gangster storyline to pay off the bloke he/Tubbs ran over. Shows how much of a legacy that’ll have

But didn't the money go missing at Christmas BEFORE that guy woke up? I never understood that storyline.

It didn’t go missing but Dot got an alert that someone tried to access it which turned out to be Sonia. But still, what did she need the money for at that point? Didn’t make any sense and June Brown couldn’t be arsed to see it through.

Yeah that whole thing confused me and I don't think it was ever explained either.

Yeah and we'll never find out either, god forbid they give Sonia a storyline of her own :drama:

They were literally about to give Sonia a storyline and then they ran out of episodes! Bet they'll ditch it when they start airing again lol.
It’s time to bring Janine back. It’s always a better show with a bit of Janine!

Actually that’s interesting, who would you like to see back in Walford when episodes resume without explanation? I’m guessing Kim, Kat and Honey will all be back but if you could pick anyone else, who would it be?

Obviously Janine would be amazing but I’d quite like to have Les and Pam just be back.

Also Claudette and Claudette’s boobs need to return.

This is a good ^_^

EastEnders has finally returned to filming, after it was halted due to the global coronavirus pandemic, and has celebrated by unveiling a huge new piece of art on set.

The spectacular mural of a Black woman was created by British artist, Dreph, and has been painted directly onto the side wall of the Beales' house, opposite The Queen Victoria pub.

The artist's large-scale murals and oil paintings can be found across the world and his subjects are often a tribute to living unsung heroes and heroines.

Dreph's You Are Enough project in 2017 saw the artist paint a series of portraits of Black women, paying tribute to friends who were doing amazing things for society.

Dreph said: "The opportunity to have my art work on the set as a permanent feature, having the same impact as my work has on the streets of London, was a really exciting opportunity.

EastEnders executive producer Jon Sen said "Dreph’s mural is an exciting and timely addition to the show that reflects events taking place in the real world.

"Anti-racism is something that the cast, crew and producers care passionately about at EastEnders and the show is well known for tackling social issues and celebrating diversity and inclusivity through its characters and storylines."

I love the gesture and like the mural too. The hate this has gotten on Facebook is vile.
It’s barely ever going to be fully in shot, why would it bother anyone?
