Ruby is easily the best character on the show right now. Her characterisation is sooo refreshing and I love how it's so challenging for Max to be with someone who knows her own mind and has her own values.

I’m also a Ruby fan!

One of the most successful returns tbh and overall I’d say she’s been much better in her second stint than she was on her first one.

I’m missing problematic queen Stacey at the minute though I know she ain’t always the most likeable but Lacey is that good an actress I just miss her presence.

i wonder is ruby out to show max what its like to have a woman to rules the roost as for years he has got away with treating women like crap.

The replacement 'Secrets from the Square' and classic episodes on Tuesday seems decent in the circumstances! I'm hoping for some good choices with the Tuesday classic episodes aside from the predictable Den & Angie etc...

Really found the ben special episode a hard watch, the phil and ben fighting off all the crew looked so fake, steve mc fadden just cant pull of those scences anymore, its very comical in a bad way. It was a disappointing episode made even more disappointing as it was written by the usually brilliant simon ashdown.

Some of the classics which I'd really like to see in full again:

- Kat & Zoe reveal

- The episode were Stacey gets sectioned (2009)

- Janine's kills (Barry & Michael)

- Danielle's death

- Lucy flashback episode

- 2010 and 2015 fully live episodes

- "I didn't become a little bit of a slag, I became a total slag"

- Stax aftermath

- Slater house fire after Trevor kidnaps Little Mo

With 35 years of content to choose from, they probably could have also run episodes on Thursday and Friday too in EE's regular slots

And it will certainly be more entertaining than the current show :eyes:

I’m not even slightly bothered at a break. IMO they should have just kept all the slots and run out in April because it’s hardly been gripping viewing stretching it out like this. I’m more up for the replacements tbh.

But it hasn’t been bad for a year anyway, only really since the anniversary.

Which happens every single time.

What’s the betting that Phil and Sharon are all happy families again straight after the break?

Did Ian really tell Martin and Sonia that Denny’s memorial was going to be a small family affair only for Shrimpy and half a dozen nobodies to attend?

The enforced break can't come quick enough!! They need to consider a serious reboot and to drop a number of storylines when it comes back :')

ya im really hoping the time will give the scriptwriters time to make big changes as its badly needed, it just seems to be stuck in complete rut and they are lost with what to do with many characters. I was really expecting the show to be in a far better place than it now when Kate Oates joined the team. I know Jon Sen is the executive producer but overall i dont think he is up for the job. Kate at this point when she joined emmerdale and corrie had each show in a better place so maybe she needs to get more involved with EastEnders.

Since Linda went sober im not really enjoying much and they seem obseesed with having Ben at the forefront the whole time.
