How this week will play out:

As confirmed already, each episode will focus on the same night from a different perspective, both on the boat and back in Walford. Each episode will end with the same incident occurring before Friday’s episode being where the death is confirmed.

Monday: The Carters and The Truemans

Tuesday: The Beales and The Brannings

Thursday: The Mitchells and The Taylors

Friday: Aftermath

I'm intrigued. Hyped up for this week with the upcoming episodes.

So much for ‘focusing on the Truemans’ I think they barely got even 5 minutes of that.

I was pretty impressed with the stunt though, Linda actually looked like she was in real danger even before the water level rose. I’m gobsmacked she didn’t cause the accident though.

Mick and Linda realising they love each seems way too convenient and like the alcoholism storyline is coming to a swift end, which makes me feel one of them will die.

St Sonia of the NHS not up to her usual standard by not resurrecting Leo on the spot.

Yeah The Truemans got about as much coverage as Tracey did  - good to see her feature and get credited though as she’s been with the show for 35 years now as an extra!

And filling us in about her and Phil whilst she’s at it

Linda being the character in the most danger tonight to me makes me think she’s not dying. I hope that’s the case. She was amazing tonight as was pretty much the entire cast tbh. Really good episode tonight and that cliff hanger duff duff too!

Whew what an episode!!! From Linda vs. Shirley with that iconic pub fight. So many questions, with gaps no doubt to be filled in the next few episodes.

I have a feeling Sonia didn't see Leo when she walked into the iamspamspamami- it's significant we didn't see his body in that scene. Also why did the police arrive?!

I love it when they put in these references...

Also why did they not just slide her foot out with something from the iamspamspamamilike oil or butter or the gaping whole on the side lmao

Not even 5 minutes in and there's a fight between Shirley and Linda! Been ages since there's been a proper cat fight! I did love the scene that followed with them in the bedroom, they do have a complex relationship and it's always so moving to see it explored.

Loved the drama tonight! I couldn't help thinking that it was pretty easy to set Linda's foot free but it was intense to watch nonetheless. I too felt like Linda's scenes were pretty final but I'm sure I'll be switching back to thinking Keanu will be the death when it comes to the episode that focuses on him and the Mitchells!

The boat being named the Smith-Holland - what a lovely nod to the original producers.

Also, they missed a trick by not having the opening credits zoom back into the Thames although I guess the cast weren't on the boat at the start of the episode.

I think it will be Keanu, but it is a very predictable outcomes if it happens.

Bex would be better looking at it from that aspect.

I do not want Linda killed off as she is a brilliant character and i think for storylines, there is potentially so much ahead for her.

Keanu dying would be such a damp squib though. He’s easily the most expendable, I don’t think many people will miss him on screen or off (yes, Karen exists, but they barely interacted for months) and if they were going to kill him, why didn’t they just do it at Christmas then? I imagine he’ll slink off after Sharon’s baby is born and it’s revealed that Phil was the father all along.

Bex I could see but that’s incredibly boring. Another character that just wouldn’t be missed. I feel they wouldn’t kill Sonia’s only child but I thought that about Mel’s only child and here we are.

I feel like it’s going to be Linda or Mick to be honest. It feels like a death is the only way that story can move forward realistically.

Having said that I think Denny or Bobby probably for the Greek tragedy theme too. Stuart and Rainie are way too happy right now for it to last and didn’t Max refuse a life jacket? I feel there’s still fair game for a few of them.

I’ll genuinely be devastated if Linda Carter dies

Bex dying as a result of drugs is a possibility as is Keanu. Maybe it could be Mick at a stretch? Like Linda looks the she’s in the most danger so far and soaps often do this to make you think it could be a character then it turns out to be someone else, like Tracy being trapped in ED but Frank dying is a recent example of that.

Are we expecting Leo to appear again too? I’m not convinced he’s really dead or if he is someone else’s has got rid of the body. I don’t think that’s what Sonia seen last night.

The way they’ve said going on for months and months though is interesting! By the way I’ve read that article it’s worded as if the person who’s leaving was written out by them.

I read those comments from the producers and immediately thought it ruled out Keanu. I can't see there being that much story to come from him considering we've already had the focus of his 'death' from New Year to now. Why would they play it out again?

They say that hindsight will show there was only ever one person that could be killed off which is totally making me think Linda, plus there would be a lot of mileage in her death (although there would be mileage if she's alive too). I just can't call it! I don't want Linda to die but if Kellie decided to quit it would be something I'd be able to support, even if I'd miss her like crazy. If she is the death, I have to say this is the best exit storyline I can remember in recent memory!

I feel like every episode is probably gonna end looking like someone is gonna die

I think Linda is my #1 pick though if we look at everything, she would arguably have the biggest impact of anyone to die (her or Mick), whether she lives or dies there's a lot of mileage and I'd so much rather still have Kellie on screen but I also don't want there to be all this hype, a huge week of episodes, and we have a damp squib of a death, being someone we already knew was exiting.

Mick is the person who’s death would cause the most mileage but I feel like his exit would’ve leaked.

Linda’s got more to tell with her story. I hope she’s left of her own accord if it is her though and it’s not a Ronnie / Roxy like situation. We will soon see! Just think though of the stories surrounding Micks death if that was the outcome.

If it’s either of them I’d love it if we got all 3 of the other children they have for the funeral episode at least.
