February 15, 20205 yr Author I love me a good, power ballad and this one really excels and showcases the most underrated thing about the girls... their individual voices. From Jesy & Jade's tender and delicate verses, to Perrie's powerful, yet restricted chorus right through to Jade's stunning middle 8 and then climaxing on Leigh's finest vocal moment to date in the extremely powerful final chorus... this really did the most in showcasing the girls vocals individually. It's really special when Leigh-Anne gets the spotlight. She didn't come to play. One of my absolute favourite Little Mix songs. It reached #9 in my countdown last Summer. I really would've loved to have seen this as the 5th single from the era, but after how well that era and the singles turned out for them, I'm not annoyed that it didn't get the single treatment. Kinda makes it more special, knowing this is for the fans :wub:

February 17, 20205 yr I’m not that keen on it tbh. It’s like in their bottom half of their discography for me. It doesn’t really mean it’s bad it’s just the actual style of it doesn’t feel very natural if that makes sense idk. I always think Jades opening line is gonna say something very different as well everytime I hear it and I can’t Unhear that either. I actually think this song feels huge though much bigger than its peak suggests. They do deliver it well vocally though but I wouldn’t really go out my way to listen to this on its own the way I do some of their other hits. Edited March 1, 20205 yr by Jordan Lee

February 17, 20205 yr This isn't Love Me Like You :lol: It's an album track :P In fairness, Get Weird is absolutely stacked with songs with 'Love' in the title so understandable mistake. :lol: 'Love Me or Leave Me' is decent enough but I wouldn't consider it a career highlight. I find it a bit too overwraught and forced, but the chorus is pretty undeniable. Towers', 'Monster In Me' and SLS are by far their holy trinity of ballads imo.

November 19, 20204 yr I don’t get the obsession with this. it’s so plain, I love Jade’s bridge but Leigh’s vocals at the end are a mess. The constant growling and larynx abuse is painful to listen to. Everyone who’s asks for this live is cruel because she could not do it. at all. And Perrie would ruin her voice again.
