Was hoping it would at least outsell Glasshouse but still a solid result in the current climate.

Top 3 is great - I would have loved it to get higher, but it will still be her highest peaking.

Also just got a 8.3 on Pitchfork and Best Album of the Week. Critical and commercial acclaim.

all her previous albums have sold between 8-10K on week 1, so looks like she's keeping her fanbase

and her fans are not thru crazy kind that buy 5 vinyls and 5 cassettes

Gave it a listen today and it really is a great album! 'Tough Love' has been my favourite album of hers but I've got a feeling this will overtake it. Really hope she gets Top 3 with this, she's so under-rated.

i got 2 vinyl ( not shipped yet), 2 signed CD and 1 cassette(not shipped yet)

How is no one talking about 'The Kill'? That might be straight up the best song on the whole album.

'What's Your Pleasure?', 'Soul Control' and to some extent 'In Your Eyes' (think that one will be a grower) are my other big standouts aside from the singles - the first 7 songs on here are all great, the quality / memorability dips a bit after that ('The Kill' aside) but still no songs on here that I'd rate lower than a 6/10. I agree with dandy* that 'Read My Lips' was the weakest album track.

A few listens in and this is definitely my favourite album of hers to date. I wasn't too fond of Ooh La La as a single but it sounds fine in the context of the album, Adore You really soars after Save a Kiss also. I think it's missing a couple more upbeat moments though so I've slotted in Imagine It Was Us and If You're Never Gonna Move as both fit fine within this sound and I don't find myself listening to Devotion too often any longer.

I had a listen to your order and it's perfect! 'Overtime' slots in so well between 'Soul Control' and 'Save a Kiss'. I had forgotten just how good 'Imagine It Was Us' is too!

Yes! This one really stood out to me on my relisten today. I love the slightly mysterious, dramatic tone that bubbles away throughout the track before coming to the forefront by the end.

"What's Your Pleasure?" title track is becoming my 2nd fav from this album (after "Save A Kiss" which I already overplayed lol)

this album is such perfect mix of Roisin Murphy, Robyn, Groove Armada, Hercules & Love Affair, Simian Mobile Disco.... I could count some more. The point is it's has everything best from my fav artists. Simply amazing record! I can't wait to hear it live next year.

Remember Where You Are is RIGHT THERE

It was a nice closing track but didn't really stand out as a major favourite for me personally ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ better than tracks 8-10 though xx

(just realised I forgot to mention - the new version of 'Spotlight' is definitely welcomed, has really reignited my appreciation for the song <3)

Officially #3 in the UK! I'm so happy, this album is easily one of my favourites of the year. The first half is still my favourite but everything on the second half has grown so it's a pretty excellent quality all the way through. Not that it really matters with an artist like Jessie, but the title track would be my pick for next single.
This has become only the third album this year so far to get a 9/10 from Anthony Fantano/theneedledrop, the acclaim *.* (for context he's given exactly 5 10/10s over 11 years so a 9 is near enough the best it gets outside of exceptional circumstances)

With this and HAIM I really can't remember the last time I spent a week so obsessed with two new albums... and that's before we even get to Arca!

So happy this made top 3 for her and is receiving so much well deserved critical acclaim, especially after she was talking about giving up. She's come back with something stronger than I ever thought she was going to produce and rocketed in my affections after previously being someone I associated with a few great tracks but generally making boring albums

This is such a great album! One of the few albums that having released so many 'singles' from it already, it still sounds good on release week and it's reminding me how good all those songs are! I think it's a very cohesive project and also has those highlights we haven't seen yet such as What's Your Pleasure (perhaps the best of the album!), Soul Control, The Kill and Remember Where You Are. Also very happy this managed to get top 3!

Will need to give the new music videos a watch as they both look like they'll be great from their previews!
