June 10, 20214 yr Well the good news is that all of the 8 bonus tracks are up to standard, I'd have been happy with any of them on the main album. The first 5 are all pretty uptempo which is great and everything is distinct from other tracks, the latter 3 slower... Impossible has a very cool laid back disco sound to it, it wouldn't sound too out of place on a Kylie album but is more restrained. Has the same credits as The Kill. Eyes Closed makes for a great accompaniment to Overtime, the bassline on it and the alt 80s synth sounds are sublime!!! I think this will become a fave of mine  Pale Blue Light is gorgeous but it wouldn't have sounded out of place as a ballad on some of her earlier albums rather than this one... but it really takes off for the final chorus. 0208 is very mellow and laid back but very soulful and beautiful, Kindness just joins in the chorus but it works - I assume he's on production duties too as it's very typical of something he'd do. Adore You (Endless Remix) isn't as good as the original for me but it doesn't completely ruin it either, I'd scrap this if I had to choose one.
June 11, 20214 yr The deluxe tracks don't disppoint! I'm obssessed with "Hot N Heavy" and "Please". I really like "Impossible" and "Overtime" too. "Pale Blue Light" is beautiful. "Eyes Closed" is interesting and think it will grow on me massively. The only track I'm sort of neutral on is "0208", although it'll likely grow on me.
June 12, 20214 yr Just got off the call with her and she is just the sweetest! She said she’ll open the tour with Soul Control which gets me SO EXCITED! She also said she dreads singing Adore You bless her
June 12, 20214 yr I wonder how well this will do in the charts this week? Surely it'll get back into the top 10? She has every format available on her shop for the album; CD/Vinyl/Cassette. With a number of bundles with things she's signed. As well as a bundle with her recently released book!

Which could mean it did very well or just had a very limited release.
June 13, 20214 yr Honestly this is one of the best albums ever, over 20 tracks and nothing I’d want to skip. This deserved to sell a million
June 14, 20214 yr rb5s15LOHPI ITS OUT now! I quite likemrhe dancing alrhought I'm perplexed as to where Jessie herself has been for the last two videos. I'd love to see a video similar to Save A Kiss for this. Especially since there's so much choreography.
June 14, 20214 yr Didn't she say she was wanting to showcase UK dancing talents in her videos, especially queer performers, hence why for the original album we had many 'dance video' music videos that came out before any of the actual official ones (see What's Your Pleasure, Soul Control, Step Into My Life etc.) - I am sure this is in the same vein as those.
June 14, 20214 yr I need them to push "Hot N Heavy" to radio!! In an ideal world it would be a top 10 smash hit. :( Glad it got a dance video.
June 15, 20214 yr a strange choice of song to take there... although it does feel like its the one that captured the UK the most after graham norton
June 15, 20214 yr It's the one that made Obama's end of year list so I'd imagine that will help conversation in the US.
June 15, 20214 yr Somehow I absolutely glazed over the initial release, and haven't heard anything from Jessie before this. But wow. What an album. Ooh La La, Soul Control, Save A Kiss, In Your Eyes, Step Into My Life, Read My Lips, Mirage (Don't Stop), Please, Hot N Heavy and Pale Blue Light are all instant 10/10s for me. Infact the whole album is sublime. I've been listening almost non stop finding personal favorites and really getting to know the album.
June 17, 20214 yr Listened to the new songs today for the first time and it made me realise how amazing ‘Overtime’ is - how it wasn’t on the original release I will never know!
