Sadly What the Future Holds didn't re-enter the Top 200 (it missed out by 9 sales, grrrr)

However I do have a new total for it - 78,341. Sales last week were 801.

Always so close but never quiet there, good to see it coming to 80k though, withnthe tour etc it will help it get gold at some point.

I received the individual members covers cassettes box set today, sent to me by the lovely Spiceboy - thank you! :cheer:
It should eventually get to Gold at some point, hopefully by this time next year, i wonder will part 1 reach gold around the same time part 2 reaches silver.

Hopefully it gets them a few more sales. Shame part 2 isn't part of it could help it chart top 200!

The Part 2 vinyl is a Steps store exclusive! Sadly not Black Friday deals there though.

Well that is just silly imagine the sales they have lost out on from those who don't use their official store!!!

I don't understand the reason for that decision from BMG either, and they're quite inconsistent, I mean Natalie Imbruglia's vinyl was available everywhere that stocks vinyl! But going back a couple of years, Emma's My Happy Place vinyl was a store exclusive too. Weird!

After inadvertently signing up to Amazon Unlimited, I thought I would give one of the newer Steps albums a whirl this morning as I've only really ever heard the singlessince their comeback.

So... What The Future Holds...

Have to say... pleasantly surprised. Back in the day I bought three of Steps early albums and I always thought the singles were good and there was a couple of other reasonable tracks, but it was mainly under-par filler and I rarely listened to them very much.

WTFH doesn't appear to have a truly duff track on it, so the "quality control" seems to have been stepped-up a bit these days. I was also pleased that I didn't encounter any ballads (though work called around track 11, so I didn't hear the last two).

I found it very STEPS... that they stayed true to their sound, but made it a little more modern. It wasn't just ABBA rip off after ABBA rip off. The vocals seemed spread across all five members and everything was genuinely catchy and hummable.

I probably need another listen or two to pick any real faves... but the title track, Clouds, Beat of My Heart all stood out to me.

If before I have said that Old Steps are better than New Steps... Hmm... not so sure now.

Welcome to the forum!

If you enjoyed Part 1 so much you have a lot to look forward to if you decide to listen to Part 2 and Tears on The Dancefloor.
I listened to Part 1. Have to say, I enjoyed it enough that I will listen to some more of their new music, so will comment on here when I have and what I thought.
