For me, What the Future Holds and Something in Your Eyes are two of their strongest tracks since their 2017 comeback. Particularly the latter, that's their most "ABBA on speed" track of the comeback, pure Steps! Under My Skin has a really catchy chorus and I enjoy the 80s vibes. I'm still very hyped for the album!

There's still 8 unheard tracks, that's still 66% of the album that you might end up liking. A lot of people wrote off Paloma's new album based on the singles and pre-released tracks, yet I've seen so many say they've ended up enjoying her album and that there was better stuff on there. So maybe that'll be the case for you and Steps, these tracks may not necessarily be the best of the lot.

It seems that this upcoming album is going to be more classic Steps, by having a mix of uptempo, mid-tempo and ballads - which was the formula for their hey-day albums. Faye has described the album musically as being a "rollercoaster", while she likened 'Tears on the Dancefloor' to a "bullet train" by comparison (in terms of tempo).

BMG have done wlel with Mc Fly this week and i think Steps have more selling power so bmg need to pull all the steps out starting very soon.

Apparently Lisa is all the way over in Dubai at the moment, which means getting together during the release week won't be easy... hopefully they've already signed stuff to go. Also I think this has thrown a spanner in the works for a planned video shoot of the 3rd single.

If that is true that is the shoddiest planning ever! They knew a lockdown was coming?!?

Tbh I still haven’t heard Hold My Heart yet but the 7th Heaven remix is as zing and would probably be a big hit without their name attached to it :(
They may do promo without Lisa, unless they have some prerecorded stuff to go out, i can def see steps doing the signed versions to get the extra sales.

She lives in Dubai, so it's not that strange she went there again is it?

They have pre-recorded stuff from the promo week they did in September/October (whenever that was ;). Plus she's back in the UK soon (I believe the Royal Variety Show in Blackpool is filmed on Nov 29).

I mean if she is in Dubai and then unable to fly back into the UK with all the lockdown stuff... there was pre-warning so you think she'd relocate to the UK again for a couple of months surely?

I'm actually seeing quite a few London-based people travelling to Dubai and back. A friend of mine has just been for work and he mentioned they stopped the mandatory quarantine from there.

The Royal Variety is great promo but it's only aired later in December (luckily filmed on release week).

Another song coming before release according to the email they’ve sent out.. not sure what song yet
Do we know any details of the promo lined up? Can only see Royal Variety and a Radio 2 show which will both be aired around Christmas? Would have thought strictly, jonathan ross would have been good promo of they could get on there but looks like they are not on next week.
I'm really concerned with the lack of promo it seems Gary is getting the bulk of it all... he has Strictly and he has Graham Norton Steps don't seem to have anything booked in yet!? McFly got an ITV documentary, Kylie got everything... if Steps don't have any big promo slots then what was the point of BMG I mean they got great slots on their own without a big record label?
