Who I Am has reached 2 million views !!

 

Cool. It will probably go over 1million on Spotfiy in the next week or so. It's been a success for her standards, and hope she can build on this success for the next single!

Lovely! I know 2 million is not massive, but it's a great achievement for Mel, especially when the Spotify plays are also doing quite well for her standards.

Hope this gives her *some* leverage to get listed on some proper Spotify and radio playlists next time!!

 

She was B listed at BBC2 right and got a small spot on that New Music Friday playlist in teh UK right?

Yep, the usual BBC2 playlisting and then a very brief spot on the New Music Friday playlist really far down!

It deserved A List !!

Glad that her streams are picking up! Let's hope that continues with her next release.

For an artist like mel to pick up on streams is great.

Indeed. Still very slow, and you just know it would have faired better if she had actual backing from a lable, but *some* gains are welcome at this stage.

This week marks ONE year since the masterpiece that is Who I Am was released! Can you believe it? :cheer:

I get why she keeps releasing these on the downlow but the streams are so bad..... does it actually do anything for her or is this just a pet project?...

It probably helps keep up her streams a bit until she figures out what to do next. Since I assume she has a recording studio I imagine these are pretty much cheap and no-effort to do either way.

 

Hell, if she's working on new music she can probably fit in to do these at the end of a studio session.

My favourite song from the album so will check out the acoustic version. All seems a bit pointless though but I guess helping to maybe keep people coming back to her streaming page and the original album.

I really fell in love with this song towards the end of last year, what a banger.

Hard to believe the campaign is now well over a year old since it started.
