Cloverfield - last night. I thought I'd hate it (a friend had said it was a bit like the Blair Witch Project and I thought that was shoite) but I actually liked Cloverfield. Could have been a tad longer though.

totally agree, I would have liked fifteen minuted knocked off the start and stuck on the end - A surprisingly good movie though completely unbelievable at times

My last movie was Hot Fuzz which I had somehow managed to not see before. I thought it was brilliantly amusing just a shame I missed it when it first came out

I think those first 15 minutes were needed to highlight the polar opposites of the 'ordinary and mundane' and the 'absolutely unbelievable'. I wished I'd seen it on the big screen now!

Pedantic quibble though. The 'video' tape or whatever recording that was being used. Was the city 'nuked'? We were led to believe that it would be. If so - surely any recording wouldn't have survived. As I say ... a pedantic quibble!

100%. I'm SO gutted I didn't see it in the cinema. I do hope a second one is made or something; it was epic.

I'm going to watch it now actually <333.

All this 'Cloverfield' talk and just seeing South Park take the piss out of it with Guinea Pigs, is making me want to see it again *Sticks in the DVD*.

Did you guys notice at the end too, when it's the couple on the fairground ride, and in the background (coz that was like a week or whatever before the 'Cloverfield' attack), near the boat in the sea behind them, you see something fall into the sea. (The birth of the monster maybe??)

Oh and a second one is being planned!

I saw Quarantine and Alpha Dog over the weekend. Wasn't expecting much from either of them, especially since they gave away most of Quarantine in previews and trailers a while back, but both were better than I expected. I actually got a little scared watching Quarantine. :o And there were a few parts that were pretty gross...

I brought Valkyrie last week as I wanted to see it in the cinema but I never got round to it and I really enjoyed it. I studied it for my history GCSE last year so I'm pretty knowledgeable on what happened and it was interesting to see it done Hollywood-style. Tom Cruise was fantastic in it (as usual). I also got Bolt this week, mainly just because I'm a Miley fan but I loved that too, it was very funny and the free Rihno soft toy is so cute!
