In a 2011 poll on Buzzjack, this was voted as the favourite no.2 single from the 90s. This time,it finishes behind several other songs from that decade. It was the first of five top 10 singles for Pulp.

We lost the John & Yoko song a long time ago but the other three Christmas songs have all made the top 20. Four months ago,'Fairytale Of New York' won a poll in the Lounge of favourite Christmas songs but it doesn't do as well here with different people voting. The title came from a 1973 novel by J P Donleavy which was left lying around the studio. Shane MacGowan and Kirsty MacColl recorded their vocals for the song in different places. Over the years, the single has notched up 99 weeks in the top 100.

Wow, three really good songs to start the top 20! Very pleased to see such a high finish for Fairytale of New York.
Several of my favourites going out now. Fairytale Of New York certainly has its detractors so 18th on a group vote is pretty good going.
I’m shocked that Grenade kept Adele from No 1 !!

This only got to number 21 in 1996 but was re-released the following year after being featured in the film 'Romeo + Juliet'. The Cardigans went on to have two further top 10 singles.

Not Lovefool falling short of the top 10. :( A pretty amazing result for it though!

I hope Last Christmas can finish top 10. George and Andew our Christmas saviours. :gaycat:
