'Foundations' spent five non consecutive weeks at no.2. During one of those weeks,it was only 16 copies away from topping the chart. It remains as Kate Nash's only top 20 single.

'A Design For Life' deserves much better but considering some of the other songs that went out already #85 doesn't seem toooo bad - I didn't expect it to beat 'Your Love Alone Is Not Enough' for example.

From 2006,this was Rihanna's fourth top 40 single and the third of them to reach number 2.

Some great songs gone already... but to be fair there were a lot of pretty great tracks in the final this time.

Hopefully we'll get a mix of styles and eras in the top half and the results aren't too skewed by a specific voting demographic.

Adele's theme song for the 23rd James Bond film won her a Brit award for Single of the Year and an Oscar. At the time,it was the highest charting Bond theme, tied with 'A View To A Kill' by Duran Duran.

'You Keep Me Hangin' On' was written by Holland-Dozier-Holland and first recorded by The Supremes in 1966. Their single reached no.1 in the US as did Kim Wilde's version 20 years later.

Omg all these good songs coming out...but then I am reminding myself that this was a good quality overall anyway.

Unfaithful is Riri's best ballad.

Kim Wilde is pure pop perfection

Adele had better songs so I think it've exactly where it should be.

Unfaithful out too soon as well. :( This was the track that made me a complete Rihanna fan. It was such an unexpected change of sound for her after two massive club hits.

It's back to back Kim Wilde as her debut single finishes just ahead of the other one. It was written by her dad,Marty, and brother,Ricky. Marty Wilde also had to settle for a highest chart position of number 2 with 'A Teenager In Love' being his biggest hit in 1959.

Kids In America deserved a better result !
Kate Nash should be much higher. I am fine with the most of the results for now.
Got rid of some of the worse songs so at least balancing it out a bit. In retrospect it's all well and good for me to say x and y deserve higher but I honestly can't even remember most of the songs left to be announced.

This was first released in 1971 in the US but not until 1972 in the UK where it reached number 4. After John Lennon's death in 1980,the single was re-released and gained its highest chart position. It's the first of four Christmas songs to make the final. Only one voter gave it a score of 10.

'Crazy For You' was recorded for the 1985 film 'Vision Quest'. A slightly re-mixed version from 'The Immaculate Collection' took the song back to number 2 in 1991.
