There's no maybe about it, he is the most successful male artist from the X Factor.

Speaking of which, did James Arthur not pick up one single vote from anyone?

Harry Styles? (Olly the most successful solo male without a doubt though).

Bob Dylan has had 1 week in the Top 40 in the last 40 years, and that was in 1995, so I'm not too surprised if he has nil points (although he'd have been somewhere in my 30 if I'd taken part...)

I was thinking more of a solo male X Factor contestant.

Weeks in the Top 40 are irrelevant though (as proven by James Arthur not picking up a single vote). Bob Dylan is a household name and generally regarded as a legendary singer and songwriter so I would have expected at least one person to vote for him.

I forgot olly murs on my list which is crazy as I love so many of his songs, I easily would have given him 15 points, I made a good few mistakes when submitting my votes

Eminem is one of those artists I feel is best left in the early 2000s. I'm surprised he's as high as he is here!

Love Will, some great music especially Echoes album. Genuinely thought he would definitely be top 10 or even top 5 he has that many big fans on here so shocked to see him at 'only' 16.

Eminem is great too, not always my go to type of music but he really does have some fantastic songs.

Whether you like his music or not, you can't deny Eminem's talent. I thought he'd be comfortably Top 10 here.

Will Young's around where I expected him although I'm kinda shocked that people like Enrique and Usher (presumably) are going to finish above him!

My predictions for the rest in this order or close to it

1. Justin Timberlake

2. Robbie Williams

3. Calvin Harris

4. Freddie Mercury

5. Michael Jackson

6. David Bowie

7. George Michael

8. Prince

9. Elton John

10. The Weeknd

11. Enrique Iglesias

12. Kanye West

13. Usher

14. Bruno Mars

Shocked to see Kanye ahead of Eminem.

I was expecting Eminem to finish 10 or 9 (maybe I am biased as I gave him a high vote)... But very surprised that Kanye, Usher, Enrique, and to a certain extent Freddie Mercury are ahead of him. While Queen is my fave band ever, I didn't vote for Mercury as I am not into his solo stuff.

I’d also be very surprised to see Freddie Mercury featuring in the top half of the top of 10. He was brilliant as the lead singer of Queen but his solo stuff is not as memorable - this countdown is for solo male acts after all.
I think he will still do very well even though more remembered for his Queen stuff than solo
His presence and stage charisma is still unmatched !!

True...Incredible talented man.... but for the most part, as a member of Queen.

Having said that, despite not voting for him, for reasons mentioned before, I'ld be thrilled if he finishes atop <3

Absolutely! But I had to give him points for his second and third albums and Lose Yourself, he had a patch of being very good.

Also - glad to see Will Young do pretty well here. He's ended up being quite underrated I feel, there's always a few songs on every album of his that I like. Plus I still love how he went his own way from Pop Idol and managed to become so successful for a while.

Was sure Robbie would be top 10 or even top 5. Glad he isn't tho tbh, good songs but I find him irritating af
