April 15, 20214 yr ^ Aww, 'How Does It Feel' is my favourite and 'California Soil' is probably my least! The rest of the order is the same as mine though.

Oops :kink: 'How Does It Feel' is ~nice~ but it doesn't grab me. But I find 'Californian Soil' really stunning and I adore the Massive Attack 'Teardrop'-esque production. My opinions on them seem to be quite unpopular though  looking forward to the album *.*
April 16, 20214 yr Mine goes like Lose Your Head>>How Does It Feel>>Lose Yourself>>Californian Soul Haven’t listened to America yet!
April 16, 20214 yr as expected, Pitchfork gave it a mediocre rate (6.2) but at least they reviewed it (they skipped the sophomore) https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/london...lifornian-soil/
April 16, 20214 yr Listening now and Lord It's A Feeling has immediately grabbed me *.* Same *.* it really reminds me of 'Give In To Me' by Michael Jackson in places :o I was also floored by how beautiful the Intro was and found the entire run from 'Baby It's You' to 'America' pretty blissful tbh, so impressed on first listen! I really wanted to love 'How Does It Feel' more in the context of the album but it still feels a bit too generic for me aw.

April 17, 20214 yr Read in many places that Lord is a Feeling is similar to Michael Jackson's Give in to Me and not I cannot unhear it :D
April 17, 20214 yr ‘All My Love’ is the definitely stand out for me - exquisite! Edited April 17, 20214 yr by steve201
April 18, 20214 yr I'm liking this on the whole. I can see why Pitchfork would call it Ibiza beach music but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing (and it's very aloof to coin an entire musical genre as an insult :/ ), it's very relaxing and as always Hannah's vocals are bewitching.
