I hope that new Becky Hill song can smash on the back of BOWY's success. What an anthem. :music: Her voice is just perfect for dance music.
That would be great news if Gerry Cinnamon did get a top 40 hit at last. The streaming era means that the songs from slow-burning albums like Gerry Cinnamon's debut didn't stand a chance of making the chart unless they got a re-promotion or a re-recorded version (neither of which was likely, given the independent nature of its release), so week 1 of album release #2 remains his best chance of getting there. It's amazing that some of the songs on that album are now seen as standards despite never charting - I was at a wedding last month where the band played "Belter".

Belter and Sometimes did manage to belatedly chart albeit very very low. would be nice if he could actually get a top 40 though as he’s certainly popular enough to warrant having one. Plus Where We’re Going is one of the best I’ve heard of his so far.

Thought for a second that there was no sign of Playboi Carti in even the top 200! I didn't realise he had entered yesterday - he's up to #27 today anyway. Already dropping on Apple so guessing it'll likely fall short of the top 40 but he may get a top 40 entry when his album drops. I also missed Joji debuting yesterday (think I just didn't see yesterday's update at all), he has dropped to #64 so not doing as well as he did with 'Run' sadly x

 

DaBaby doing a bit better on Spotify than Apple, looks like 'ROCKSTAR' should definitely be a first top 40 as lead artist for him indeed! 'FIND MY WAY' only at #51 so that one will probably fall short again.

Cool to see Enter Shikari managing 2 top 200 entries from their album too ('THE GREAT UNKNOWN' at #171 and 'satellites* *' at #183). 'THE GREAT UNKNOWN' is my favourite song from them in ages, obvz not going to do anything as a single but hopefully this may be a good sign that they could finally get a top 3 album. Their last one in 2017 did over 9k first week to debut at #5, they'll probably need similar sales to that to get top 3 this week, could happen ~

Is there any reason streams so much lower the last week? Blinding Lights is down almost 200k, Roses down about 150k and even songs that are climbing like deathbed are down in streams quite a bit. Just sees like a very unusually large drop overall for no real specific reason

I think streams are back to normal,

I'd say the last couple weeks had unusual high streams, not sure why if it was virus or weather-connected though

If the World was Ending has been re-added to HH, doesn't happen very often them re-adding songs

they also added Nafe Smallz & M Huncho - Part of the Plan

and a 2nd Gerry Cinnamon track (Head in the Clouds)

Ugh Flowers as high as #4 on HHUK is not good to see, especially considering its above Break My Heart Now

Surprised You Should Be Sad is still as high as it is on HHUK
