Alexandra on X Factor was EVERYTHING. What a superstar <3

You know I love her off the show too, the 2 albums she gave us were amazing and her musical career now is amazing too!

Great to see Rehab here. Amy was a talent :'( Bleeding Love is a massive fave too.

Rehab seems like such a forgotten smash, it is all about Valerie these days in The Netherlands, which is very sad

I was a bit obsessed with Everytime We Touch when it came out. I even had the ringtone on my flip phone. I still haven't forgiven Cascada for denying MJ a posthumous #1. -_-

I CANNOT stand Cha Cha Slide. Too overplayed for what it was lol.

Gurl Cascada >> Michael xoxo

(JK but he had enough #1's, he could miss it)

Umbrella is still one of my favourite songs. Absolutely iconic!!!

Also still non ironically listen to cascada loads :kink:

Gurl Cascada is a staple on every houseparty!

Iconic moment #2: That Kiss

For our next iconic moment of the 00's we travel back all the way to the 2003 Video Music Awards!

A moment that shocked the world

A moment that spawned a legion of gays

A moment that will never be forgotten

For this performance Missy Elliot, XTina, Madonan and Britney gathered their forces to blow the world away.

Britney opened the performance with a renidition of MDNA's Like A Virgin, where Xtina kicked in to blow her vocals out of the water.

Both dolled in wedding gowns they WORKED that stage.

Then came Quen of Pop, Madonna. With the sound of weddingmusic before bursting out in her own song Hollywood.

She lowkey made Britney and Xtina look like backup dancers during that segment.

The power started when all 3 together sang. The performance itself is nothing special but the fact that 3 such forces in popmusic

managed to share a stage together without upstaging each other is kinda remarkable.

Then came THAT moment. The kiss. Funnily enough Madonna kissed both Britney and Xtina but only Britney's was shown in full.

Xtina was only shown partly cause they'd rather show Britney's ex Justin Timberlake's reaction. Poor Xtine

The performance wasended by Missy Elliot's Work It.

All in all the performance was MADE by that kiss. I don't believe anyone would be talking about this without it.

It doesn;t help that Hollywood is far from Madonna's best

Bops from the year 2000

The year 2000 was such a weird year. The year end charts contain so many TRAGEDIES but also so many iconic great songs.

Let's Get Loud was the first Jennifer song I actively remember loving, despite being only 6 at the time. I think it had to do with my mother

absolutely STANNING the song lmao. To me it still sounds incredible and I have very fond memories of it.

Enrique & Whitney are a pairing you wouldn't really expect to see, but somehow the powerhouse vocalist and the spanish hearthrob make it work.

Enrique's always been a fave of mine, until he decided to go down the cheap route. He is at his best with latin influences like in Could I... but also in

Bailamos and many more. Whenever he sings in Spanish I melt gurl.

Tom Jones is far from a sex bomb, but he released a single named that way anyway. He obviously is singing about a girl here, but it's still funny to me.

A bop, a jam, a classic. Everyone knows this, despite nobody around here knowing who in the wide meaning of the word f*** Tom Jones is.

Sitting Down Here is actually one of my faves as well, due to my mother. For some reason I loved it and everytime it would come on the radio (she had one of

those portable radio thingies for when she was on her way, high tech etc) she would give me the headphone and have me listen to it.

It took me years to find this song back as I didn't remember the exact lyrics (mind you I was 5 at the time this was a hit) but when I finally found it it felt

sooooo good :cheeseblock:

Lucky to me is one of Britney's better songs, because it is personal. It is no Everytime, but at least she finally tells a story here. Britney to me has always been a little

distant in her music and I feel like we barely touched the surface with her musical output, but Lucky is refreshening cause it told HER story.

Omg I do an amazing Sex Bomb on karaoke.
Post it tbh x

I don’t have a recording!

Tell you what, if the powers that be could make this forum permanent, I will record it and post it!

Sex Bomb is so odd, I don’t want to be remembered of that x

Lucky is a really nice song though, moreso that it’s a Britney song :(

The week with Lucky in it was one of my favourite chart weeks EVER! Such an iconic 00s moment!

I know, it was incredible when Spiller TRASHED Posh at the last moment! Rightfully so!
