Is there a way to get these online or in store only? I NEED

I think you will be able to get whatever is left after the RSD is over, I think the next day usually the remaining stock goes on general sale?

Happy anniversary to one of the best solo Spice songs heart

Feels So Good should have been the first single from the album, it's so f***ing good.

My favourite Mel B song. I still have the CD single. Also loved Tell Me too. I wish more people had given the album a chance.

melb I probably would have done it had been priced at a cute £23.99 or something, but it being £31.99... for a picture disc that's possibly just in a PVC sleeve... with that design... I don't think I can do that to myself!

The whole point of a Record Store Day is to support local Record Stores, and the prices will be higher than usually precisely because of that.

Get our ass out of your house and do it or I will spank you!

Honestly, I ended up paying €40 for it… and you know what? I don’t even regret it.

At the end of the day, it’s an exclusive release, it’s not something you’re going to find easily in shops later on, and as a collector that kind of thing just hits differently. Plus, I actually really like the songs on it, and this is literally the only way to have it on vinyl, so it kind of justifies itself.

Now… being completely honest, I’ve been spinning it this morning and the audio quality isn’t exactly mind-blowing 😂 you can definitely tell it’s a picture disc. But still, I think it looks great, it’s a really nice piece to have, and I’m genuinely enjoying it for what it is.

Sometimes it’s not about perfection, it’s about the vibe… and this one has it.

Yes to what I’ve put in bold, but hard disagree about the prices. They’re getting out of hand, hiked up compared to even just last year. There’s a line between showing support as a consumer, and getting fleeced because of the FOMO tactics surrounding this event! Even though the concept of this is to give a boost to local stores, these are ultimately items from major record labels (mostly), clearly they must be making a tidy profit out of this venture, and pushing the price points well beyond what they’re actually worth, to test the limits of what they can get away with.

At least a lot of the items have quality and care put into them to somewhat justify the price tags. I’m sorry though, the Mel B release - like Reason last year - totally embodies the laziness and greed from Universal. Actually it’s even worse than Reason! 1x picture disc, cheap PVC sleeve, no nice cardboard sleeve with a window like the Spice Girls picture discs were in. It just isn’t worth £31 to £34 (depending on where it’s purchased from), not to me anyway! Seeing the pictures of it on eBay, makes me think that even £20 would be a bit of a joke. Honestly, if I ultimately miss out on owning it, I’m ok with it. 👀

I’m happy for anyone who feels differently, but that’s how I feel!

I’m still buying a couple of items at full price, I’m not totally shunning RSD. But that’s because I think those items are worthy of a purchase.

Anyway, it’s such a shame it’s not the original cover. The artwork is so iconic. Hotter should have been a single, it’s probably the song from Hot that could have saved the album.

This so much! It’s one of the most striking of all the spice girls artworks!

How they went from perfectly recreating Northern Star and A Girl Like Me for vinyl, to serving up that for Hot... such a shame! I'd say it was disrespectful to the artist but Mel B seems to really love it, and honestly, love that for her x

This so much, both reason and hot were done dirty! I mean could they not have even used the correct font, or done a cover of just the desert without Mel on it ala Reason, the vinyl looks so cheap to me.

I do love how much Mel loves it though! She also said on insta she is going to release more music so 🤞

To be honest I bought it today and it wasn't that bad! The picture disc with the transparent sleeve actually looks a bit retro which is cute. But yes of course I would have loved the full cover and proper artwork as well. I think they probably didn't expect to sell even close to what Reason sold (and that didn't sell out either so....)...

My local record shop had 5 copies and they all went. I got the second to last eheh

About prices, I was a bit shocked. Most vinyls this year were going for €60/70 which is insane. I had asked the shop beforehand and they saved a copy for me. On the stand it was going for €57 but the guy had saved mine and only charged me €41 minus 10% discount as I am a regular there.

Otherwise I would have probably not bought it as yes I do think €57 was too much. I told the guy and he said RSD is going really high prices this year and he was also surprised. But the vinyls were selling really well so 🥲

I am SCARED to think what they will do with Free Me and Life in Mono if those ever get a RSD release... I can imagine both just being pink with Emma's name and the title a la Reason and that will be it.

Shame though, cos the pink Free Me cover is f***ing iconic and unique! We need the full release!!! I think they are probably aware that it would sell better than Reason so hopefully they can re-license the images/artwork!
