YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

Oh my god, I'm SO happy. My second favourite song of the YEAR, behind only Physical itself, so I'm SO happy this is getting single treatment and not remaining as an album track. It was too perfect to waste

I think Break My Heart was maybe the most commercial sounding of all the singles so far?
Happy this gets a chance, along as Levitating does too and maybe they're waiting to shoot Madonna / Dua together for the Levitating video. But I'm excited for both to smash. Prefer them both over BMH.

So this actually is the single then? I am sehr confused xx

The song is currently sitting at #642 on Apple Music (actually below 'Levitating' which is at #621), I think it's going to need the playlist makers to play ball for it ASAP to make much impact unless the music video ends up being a 'New Rules' type moment. I still hope to be proven wrong but I just get the feeling this is going to struggle to get started (not that I think it needs to for this era to be validated as a success for her, the album will continue to do numbers regardless, much like Taylor Swift and especially Billie Eilish who also attempted to push post-album singles to very limited success).

They often play songs upfront as part of ‘New to 2’, some of those songs make their way into the playlist within a few weeks and some don’t at all but it’s very random and I still don’t quite get their system for it
That makes sense. I'm not usually into how this works, so I guess this will be playlisted because it has been officially announced as a single now.

What’s happening on July 10th though? A new single mix? A video? Orrrrrr
I'm inclined to say a standalone release of the song on all streaming and digital platforms (like "IDGAF" being a post-album single release), but a video could also be an option. IIRC, Dua announced both "New Rules" and "IDGAF" as singles with a release date and their respective music videos dropped that day.

I'm so happy this is getting a push and that it looks like 'Levitating' will get it's moment! They were the two I wanted as singles from first listen.

So I guess 'Levitating' will become the Autumn single with the 'Deluxe' being released sometime before Christmas.

THAT'S how you do an album CAMPAIGN. :cheer:

So I wonder what type of music video we are going to get . Hoping for a non zoom chat shit show

You're asking for too much during pandemic :kink:

Jokes aside, I think her team are more creative than that!!! Obviously I am not expecting big things neither!!!

Animated video incoming, oop!

I get they were limited with what they could do though, better than nothing!

Perfectly happy with an animated music video in the circumstances. Could be a lot worse.
I'd rather have a homemade video made with an iPhone than an animated video :/
I think it’s a creative idea that is honestly underused by major artists these days. A lot of indie/smaller acts opt for animated videos as they can often be cheaper than live action music videos. Considering the circumstances too I am more than happy with her choice! I am buzzing for the visuals as it will be 100% “Future Nostalgia”
Yeh I’d much rather have an animated video than yet ANOTHER video of fans dancing to the song in their homes
Ooooo that looks great! I guess this week marks its single release?
