Posted April 17, 20205 yr The BBC has announced its plans for covering Lady Gaga's star-studded Together At Home concert this weekend. Dermot O'Leary, Clara Amfo and Claudia Winkleman will host highlights from the US show plus performances by UK stars and interviews with health workers. More than 100 acts, including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Sir Paul McCartney, will take part via video. The main US broadcast will take place on Saturday, with a special UK version on BBC One from 19:15 BST on Sunday. It will include extra performances from British artists like Little Mix, Sir Tom Jones and Rag 'N' Bone Man. Additional footage from the US event will also be available on BBC iPlayer for 30 days. :cheer: Excited to see how they'll do this! :o
April 17, 20205 yr Fantastic promo slot! They’ll very likely get on the BBC highlights show so Break Up Song will get a sales boost.
April 18, 20205 yr So excited for this! It's for an amazing cause too. I'm really pleased that they'll be a part of it in some form or another. Honestly though, I'm really not expecting a BUS performance lmao </3
April 18, 20205 yr I really hope we get a BUS performance tomorrow. GAHHH. Ya hopefully they perform it and it gets a boost.
April 19, 20205 yr Beautiful performance of Touch! They all sounded incredible, especially Leigh Anne :cheer: I’m not sure why they sang it though? Surely singing BUS would of been better for them. Good performance anyway for a good cause!
April 19, 20205 yr I don't think anybody performed their newest hits during the broadcast just mainly covers or songs of their own that fit the situation. I expected it, but it would have been a nice chance to perform BUS, but it wouldn't have fit the vibe of the concert much at all. Absolutely gorgeous performance. That rendition of 'Touch' always slays my existence. Leigh absolutely SMASHES it.
April 19, 20205 yr Yeah true tbh! Anyways they sounded incredible, the HARMONIES  It showed off their vocals perfectly!
April 20, 20205 yr Fabulous performance and such a shame that theirs wasn't part of the global coverage...
April 20, 20205 yr It was a great performance, Little Mix, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift were the stand outs for me.
April 20, 20205 yr Choosing their best track to perform. TASTE. They all absolutely nailed it, but Leigh really stood out for me (as she always does with accoustic Touch). And those harmonies! Glad the public reception was positive over on Twitter, but I do roll my eyes slightly when people are still surprised at their vocals. They've been consistently incredible live for over 8 years now.
April 20, 20205 yr People assume bands such as little mix are bad live singers so its good that people see their great vocal talents.
April 20, 20205 yr People assume bands such as little mix are bad live singers so its good that people see their great vocal talents.I get it, but why? Especially LM who literally won a singing contest due to their vocals as a group? LMAO
April 20, 20205 yr People forget that and it was the same with girls aloud. Girls Aloud were shit singers though. Nicola is amazing now[/] but Nadine carried them for their entire run together. Plus I don't think I ever heard them every attempt to harmonize once amongst five studio albums worth of material. Little Mix - and girl groups in general - get slagged because so much goes into their image, choreography and promotion that it seems like it's all a way to disguise/distract from vocals when actually they serve better vocals than the majority of artists out there.
April 20, 20205 yr Yeah, have to agree about Girls Aloud being crap vocalists. They really can't be compared to LM at all. They had tunes, but no vocals. LM vocally are one of the strongest girl groups ever
April 20, 20205 yr Little Mix are much stronger vocally, but Girls Aloud have some good vocals too although Nadine and Nicola are by far the strongest in the group where Little Mix are all very strong vocally. Both bands are great though but im really happy Little Mix have stayed together and more importantly they really do seem to get on with each other.
