I actually like this better than the original! Aside from the rap part which is totally unnecessary and sounds completely out of place but at least it's quite a short rap and not as bad as Dizzee Rascal's rap on Band Aid 30 (or was it Band Aid 20?)
It’s definitely not even close to being as good as the original but I don’t think it was expected to be! This cover is a lot better than I thought it would be.

That was Band Aid 20 in 2004 :)

I've never been a big fan of the original but I think it works quite well as an acoustic version.

Yeah, the only difference is that I loved the original so it would be hard to beat - it does still work very well as an acoustic version with these stars, better than I thought it would.

I'd say it's pretty likely

And if they did announce it, I doubt they'd mention Radio 1 and just say that it was a celebrity cover for charity!

I haven't heard this yet but I can't see it catching on in the same way YNWA has. Maybe a week in the top 40 like Matt Lucas?

Who does the rap?

Who does the rap?

AJ Tracey.

I like the ending

Hate the rap !!

I can't see Times Like These making #1 anyway, I think the track will just slow down after the weekend.
it was sounding very nice, great they opened with Dua Lipa,

but then the rap came and ruined it :/

This was my reaction as well, enjoying it then that rap...

Also not sure I was keen on how the voices blended together.

In terms of big ensemble hits, "Perfect Day" was iconic for literally showcasing each vocal on its own, and there were some in particular who you knew who they were without having to see the video! :D
