April 24, 20205 yr Also Run might qualify for the most used shortest title ever with 11 chart entries. Scrap that, You is also 11 entries.
April 24, 20205 yr Author Scrap that, You is also 11 entries. I was thinking 'If' but there have only been 4 of those!
April 24, 20205 yr I was thinking 'If' but there have only been 4 of those! 10 for 'Go' (six in the Top 75).
April 24, 20205 yr I was thinking 'If' but there have only been 4 of those! I think the word Go could be the most used 2 letter word song title with 6 entries.
April 24, 20205 yr Author A few more I've found (and updated in the list at the bottom of the previous page): Tonight (11) Runaway (10) - although 12 if we also include 'Run Away' Freedom (12)
April 24, 20205 yr Author 15 for 'Everyday'. I make it 17 on the OCC (top 100) or 14 on polyhex (top 75), that's not taking covers into account though. Unless you're adding 'Every Day' to make it 15?
April 24, 20205 yr Some more from me, and a new personal peak of 15! Heaven (15) Why (12) Trouble (11) Everything (10) Girls (10) Joy (10)

Including Anticappella's 'Every Day', as it's only listed as such on the chart archive, not on the official release: https://www.discogs.com/Anticappella-Everyday/release/151299
April 24, 20205 yr Author Some more from me, and a new personal peak of 15! Heaven (15) Why (12) Trouble (11) Everything (10) Girls (10) Joy (10) Sorry to burst your bubble slightly but DJ Sammy's 'Heaven' is obviously a Bryan Adams cover and DJ Sammy's 'Why' is an Annie Lennox cover :P I've added those to the list though.
April 24, 20205 yr and Simply Red must be the most generic band ever as they have singles called Home, Stay and Angel :D
April 24, 20205 yr I compiled such a list myself in the past - these titles were on 8 or more Top 75(?) songs to the end of 1999 (so most will have been on more since) and I don't think have been mentioned yet: Heartbeat (11 to end of 1999) Star (10) Don't Stop (9) Good Times (9) (The) Power Of Love (8) Promises (8) Stay With Me (8) Several more which were on 7 have definitely got to 10 by now too (e.g. Paradise) so I could go on...
April 24, 20205 yr Out of all the songs titled 'Everyday', how many of them actually use that word for its actual meaning rather than it being a grammatically incorrect rendering of 'every day'? I'm guessing only a couple if that. Similarly there appears to be more hits with the nonexistent word 'everytime' in their title than there are with 'every time'. Sigh.
April 24, 20205 yr and I've just discovered that there is no song that charted at all with a title 'Queen' or 'Queens' :o

Heartbeat - 13 Star - 9 (not sure where you got your 10 from, I'm guessing you counted Top 100 hits rather than Top 75?) Don't Stop - 12 Good Times - 9 The Power Of Love - 8 Promises - 10 Stay With Me - 12 Some good shouts there, I'll update the list on p1 with them.
April 24, 20205 yr Author Found three more: All I Want (11) Fire / Fire! (12) Coming Home / Comin' Home (10)
