Posted April 25, 20205 yr Juice WRLD's family have released the first song since he's tragic death last December. It entered at #13 on Spotify today so has a chance of becoming his 2nd top 20 single as a solo artist. ZengOKCUBHo
May 1, 20205 yr Author This entered the chart at #26 this week but unfortunately Radio 1 apparently didn't play it :( Shame because it is such a nice single from him.
May 1, 20205 yr I'm sure it wasn't intentional but the way Radio 1 brushed over this on the chart today really felt a little disrespectful - even if they didn't have a playable edit of it, they could at least have spoken a bit about the circumstances behind its release? :/ This is a good song anyway and feels like a fitting tribute - a good sign that posthumous releases from him may not be too badly mishandled / exploited. (I'm assuming that the three posthumous features that have been put out so far were all songs that were planned to come out anyway).
July 6, 20205 yr posthumous album 'Legends Never Die' coming out this Friday - 'Life's A Mess' out today. IetcXhv83gQ the great album artwork also released.
July 6, 20205 yr There was also another single a few weeks back which didn't get posted on here iirc. Assuming this and 'Righteous' will both be on the album as well although we don't have a tracklist yet. ddoFu4sDXpU 'Righteous' has turned into my favourite Juice WRLD song ever and I really liked 'Tell Me U Luv Me' too. I'm sure not everything on the album will be to the same standard but I'll give it a listen.
July 11, 20205 yr Author It's incredibly sad to see album takeovers in consecutive weeks from upcoming artists who died before the age of 22 but I am glad to see both of their legacy's continue. 1st Day Spotify: 3. Potentially the 3rd entry by the end of the week?
July 14, 20205 yr This is now being projected to have the highest first week sales of the year to date in the US (just ahead of The Weeknd) - doing amazingly well on both Spotify and Apple in the US, still having 9 of the top 10 on Spotify in its fourth day (with the lowest song excluding the intro/outro/interludes at #21) and nearly the same on Apple.
July 14, 20205 yr Just listened to this (I listened to 3 whole new albums in one day, unprecedented for me ) Actually enjoyed it much more than I expected to overall! There are a couple of duds ('Blood On My Jeans' and 'Man Of The Year') but I thought every other song on there was at least quite good, was expecting much more of a mixed bag so pretty pleased with this. Biggest immediate highlights from the album tracks for me are 'Conversations', 'Titanic' and 'Fighting Demons', also really liking both the Halsey and Marshmello collabs dropped in the days before the album ('Life's A Mess' I actually thought was only ok on first listen but it's already grown on me a lot, the video/visualiser for it is really lovely too). 'Wishing Well' actually struck me as one of the weaker songs on there on first listen so I'm hoping that will also turn out to be a grower since it's looking like it'll be one of the bigger songs from the album. A bunch of the other songs do sound like they could be growers as well.

Anxiety - Intro 135. The Man, The Myth, The Legend - Interlude 138. Juice WRLD Speaks From Heaven - Outro I've only heard the Halsey collab so far and I wasn't massive on that on first listen.

July 17, 20205 yr This is now being projected to have the highest first week sales of the year to date in the US (just ahead of The Weeknd) - doing amazingly well on both Spotify and Apple in the US, still having 9 of the top 10 on Spotify in its fourth day (with the lowest song excluding the intro/outro/interludes at #21) and nearly the same on Apple. Ended up actually outperforming this projection by quite a bit, opening with 508k per Hits Daily Double, well ahead of The Weeknd! ~ In slightly less positive news I just discovered the other day that 'Wishing Well' is co-produced by Dr. Luke - sigh. Now resenting even more the fact that song is the one seemingly blowing up the most. 'Come & Go' has been playlisted on Radio 1 though so I am hoping that is the one that is still going to be pushed more in the UK.
July 18, 20205 yr Author His entries ended up looking like this officially 9. Come & Go (with Marshemello) 11. Life's A Mess (feat. Halsey) 15. Wishing Well I got round to listening to the album earlier and I can certainly see why Come & Go and Wishing Well have both done well. Easily the standout tracks alongside Righteous for me. 'Stay High' was my favourite of the rest.
July 20, 20205 yr Biggest debut of the year in the US, with 5 songs in the top 10 (the third act in history to do so) Highest is Come and Go at #2
July 20, 20205 yr Thrilled to see 'Conversations' as high as #7 on the Hot 100 <3 also good to see 'Hate The Other Side' making it in there to give Polo G a first top 10 hit. Juice now having 6 posthumous top 10 hits after only getting 2 top 10s during his lifetime. If not for 'Life's A Mess' debuting from half a week of consumption last week he would have been the first artist ever to have 5 debuts in the top 10 in the same week (as it were he matches the record of 4 set by Drake and Lil Wayne).
July 25, 20205 yr The visualiser videos coming out for this have been fun to watch (they're more interesting than the actual 'official videos' really for me lol). As well as the one already dropped for 'Life's A Mess' there have also been ones released in the last week for 'Can't Die' and 'Hate The Other Side', both also starring the same guy making paintings. TXYuufSXIT8 KVxuHBht-M0 'Hate The Other Side' didn't immediately stand out to me as a big highlight but listening to it more this week it's really grown on me a lot and is up there with my favourites now. Weirdly pretty much the opposite of how I've felt about 'Come & Go' which definitely peaked on first listen (still liking it but I wouldn't call it an album highlight any more, it is a little too much on the 'generic Marshmello song' side). Although his other collaborations with Polo G ('Flex') and The Kid LAROI ('GO') were both also similar in that they mostly passed me by on first listen but then grew on me weeks later. x
