No release date or track-listing 🤨

I think we’ll get the standard track list? The hype sticker on the front just lists the singles rather than highlighting any additional content.

Hopefully we get a release date soon and they get it up for pre order, this is something Dannii fans want, i wonder is it possible the album could achieve a new peak if this is handled well.
In the UK i think a new peak is possible.
I love how "Minogue" has now been added to the cover.

That change happened in 2007 when the CD was re-released!

I'm not as convinced? Neon Nights on vinyl re-entered the album chart at #89. It sold 1,160, of which 1,150 were physicals. With Girl she'll have to outdo this by a few hundred copies to outpeak #57. Last week's #56 sold 1,748 copies.

Dannii herself needs to promote strongly to maximize the sales as it could attract extra sales outside of the vinyl format.

Putting it like that it looks unlikely but hopefully enough to see dannii back in the top 100.

I would love nothing more than this but they’ll need to do more for the UK release than the Australian one to stand a chance.

One vinyl won’t cut it especially if it’s released prior to Christmas - they need a few versions, also a bit disappointed they’ve waited for the UK announcement - so many fans have ordered from the Australian site (myself included - but I’ll get the UK version too) so they’ve potentially lost out on UK sales unless it’s a massively different variation.

Maybe they are working on something different for the UK but i agree it would be great if they had different versions to release of it.

A tour bundle would be ideal for sales.

Dannii last tour and only tour supported the Girl vinyl.

She could sell out a date up north and south using suitable venues!

That would be really great but probably very very unlikely but she should give it a go as she enough fans for small venues.
Yeah, I don't see a new peak happening - the cd editions of this and Neon Nights sold a few hundred copies in the first week; vinyl of Neon Nights sold 1.1k. This offers nothing new besides being on vinyl. It might help ship another 2-3k copies of it in total in the UK by the end of its run, which is nice at least lol.

Do you think they make 10k for worldwide sales?

I mean the neon nights signed vinyl goes for around £100 on ebay now.

This, outside of the core fanbase this is a REALLY niche release - it wasn’t a big album and essentially only contained one hit that the GP might remember.

It’s a cult release for the fans but wider interest will be zero. Just pleased we have it on vinyl finally.

So frustrating that we still have no details of the UK release.

I also have a suspicion it will be released via the Plastic Pop label that handled the Sophie Ellis Bextor and Nicola (Girls Aloud) releases - whilst they done a great job with those and Plastic Pop has arranged to be chart eligible the sales are all direct to customers and have zero visibility on Amazon, HMV etc., so a very much low key/fan release that doesn’t stay in print :nocheer:

While widespread release would be great, I think we have to be happy it's getting a vinyl release at all even though it will only have a short availability, I just hope all the hard-core fans manage to get a copy if it's a limited release.
