'Everything I Wanted' is fine as an album track but I don't think it works as a single, especially not as a follow-up to 'All I Wanna Do'. I feel like that probably killed the momentum.

The reason the album flopped IMO was they rushed it out after the success of AIWD and Dannii had been away for 3 years at that point so needed some time for people to get used to her new sound and invest in an album from her.

Also Eternal had a long history of mishandling album releases hence why they didn’t last too long!

This is a good track but does not warrant a single release .

The video is incredible and simple . She looks stunning !!

Everything I wanted, I do like this, I should say like it more now than I used to, it does stand out for a single when you listen to the album but it just needed a harder beat or needed to speed up to really give it substance. Its def one of her better singles up to this point.

Everything I Wanted, as a single it is clear why it was picked but it doesn't have that punch All I Wanna Do had.

Dannii required something much stronger to hold onto the success she achieved with All I Wanna Do.

I love EIW - most people seem to think it was an awful follow up to AIWD and killed the album campaign (The album was already dead and buried by the time EIW appeared :drama:

Again maybe I have some nostalgia with this track - it was EVERYWHERE in the clubs when it was released.

I have to say Dannii seemed awkward during the promo for EIW - they were pushing her on kids/teen shows and the music was a bit more grown up than that but she also wasn’t credible enough to be embraced by the dance scene.
I don’t understand how this was the follow up single !! When they had disremembrance / so in love with yourself !! 😁
Yes promoting this material on live and kicking etc does now seem strange

I think they panicked after ‘Girl’ tanked and thought this sounded the most commercial at the time?! Eternal was NOT the label for Dannii and like Deconstruction with Kylie they didn’t know how to handle her transition from pop star.

next up is If it moves dub it

Another random track - the kind of song that should have been sent out as a promo on 12” vinyl to the clubs and left off the album, the fact it’s another 6+ minute track too :drama:

Not so keen on 'If It Moves - Dub It'. Seems a bit redundant so soon after 'Everybody Changes Underwater' and I'm not finding it as interesting.

You make a good point here however this was such a bad decision

If It Moves, the opening gives great promise but the song doesn't live up to the opening.

The song lacks identity, it really could be anyone singing on the track for the little Dannii actually features on the track.

As anyone included a ‘dub’ before in the middle of an album.

I can listen to it but sometimes I do skip it .
