Love 'Still Standing'! Opening the Money Can't Buy gig was fab and I love how she kind of teases the listener with "do you wanna hear me sing pop?" given the musical direction she was taking.

Such a waste Secret (Take You Home) wasn't released as a single.
Still Standing, great intro to the song and I think Still Standing has similarities to Better Than Today although not as good.

Kylie sounds very confident on the track.

Really like the "guess who's back top" line in the song.

In hindsight with this album, Kylie wasnt on top form.

I dont see the similarities to better than to day at all

Still Standing would probably have been a more significant song for her to sing these days? I feel like it feels fresh.

there is 1 or 2 others i would put ahead of it for a single

Not Dannii's much older sister coming for her early-90s rap crown :drama:

Secret (Take You Home) I like the line, I'm a girl who likes her fun.

When Kylie sings in her lower tone it sounds really good on this.

'Secret (Take You Home)' shouldn't work but totally does. That rap is iconic! This would have made a fab single although I'm unsure if the record company would risk it.

Definitely a missed opportunity not pushing ‘Secret’ as a single at some point - as I said the album could have easily stretched to more than 3 singles.

The sound also fitted in with what was around at the time although the ‘rap’ part needs to be left off

really like the instrumental parts on this but that’s not saying I don’t like kylies voice on it because I do, there is a good groove to the song.

Promises is where the album gets a bit dodgy to me.

I guess it's not the worst song in the world, but it never goes anywhere does it? I guess it could be seen as an interlude of sorts to give people time to calm down from the energetic build-up from the first three tracks...

This is the point we hit ‘album tracks’ - this reminds me of the sort of thing Lisa Scott Lee or Rachael Stevens would release as a lead single to be ‘edgy’ and ‘cool’ - middle of the road girl pop.
it has a late 80s kinda synthy sound to it but doesn’t fully pull it off, its not a bad song but not the type of song I would listen to all that much.
The chorus is sort of like a school-yard chant isn't it? "Promises - promisessss" - almost like she's teasing someone.
