Enjoy Yourself could achieve the same success as the anniversary release for her debut.

BMG seem pretty good at re-issuing the Kylie catalogue they control for anniversaries etc., and K88 was a decent success for a low key release so hopefully they are working away on EY.

If only :drama: I loved the Cherry Red re-issue but would love this to get the same as the recent K88 re-issue.

Still love this album and in my Top 3 Kylie albums.

I thought maybe they were waiting for Tension II to pass but then her debut album vinyl last year was on pre-order same time as Tension. Still, it went up for pre-order a month after it’s anniversary so maybe Enjoy Yourself will be announced in November?

My holy trinity:

1) over dreaming

2) EY

3) wouldn’t change a thing

It’s amazing that how, for an album that’s gets lukewarm responses from her fans today, a lot of us seem to love over-dreaming.

I love the fact they changed the tracklist to the album when WGAT which was going to be the album opener failed to get to #1 - just shows how important chart positions were back then and lol that PWL were not going to let the album open with a #2 peaking single.

I didnt realise they done that, based on that, PWL must have been frustrated by Kylie getting number 2 hits so many times.

I don't know if they thought about it that deeply, they probably just felt 'Hand On Your Heart' had made a bigger impact/would be a more impactful opener to the album?

(Which to be fair it is)

Def had more impact especially when due to a glitch it missed out on a number 1 debut which was a big and rare thing back then.

Pete Waterman spoke to it a number of times of the years - they wasn’t going to open the album with their biggest act with what they thought was a guaranteed #1 stalling at #2.

It’s the reason why some of the early editions have the sleeve with the original track listing and the vinyl with the updated tracklist.

It does explain why track listing differ, really shows how big the charts were for pwl.

I love how the charts were so important to Pete/PWL in the early days - he’s spoke about it a lot (eg: The Reynolds Girls getting dropped after their debut “only” reached #8)
